KUDU HUNGRY & BIRDS TOO

Kudu eating some good food and the Oxpeckers probably as well. This was taken a while back, when lots of rain was falling in Kruger Park. never had seen the Kruger so green :D

This male was quite some skittish chap and I think he was also a tad mad. When we encountered hm he was jumping all over the place and tried to stab a "invisible" other male or so. Was very funny to watch that scenario which went one for quite a while, till he finally realised there is nothing, I assume :))
Enjoy

BLACK RHINO

roaming freely the African continent. This was taken early morning, it was having breakfast and me my rusk with orange juice on the side :)
Those beautiful animals, sadly poached for their horns like many other animals on earth for whatever body parts "should" heal what ever sickness the fairytale believers believe in. How sad!
As long there is demand of the fairytale believers on body parts of whatever animal as long those gangsters and syndicates get rich. Not to forget whatever politicians on the side get some blood money in their dirty pants! SHAME

FOCUS LOCKED ON IMPALA

African leopard having her eyes on an Impala. Her youngsters were very well hidden not to far from this spot high in a tree. We did not get any glimpse of them that time. After this image, the stalking began. Sadly the leopard was not successful with her hunt, but later in the afternoon :)

SOLAR ECLIPSE IN SWITZERLAND

Now this is what I got from the eclipse from above Zurich at around 700m above sea level. Nop, did not go on the Matterhorn for that :)))

I stacked my Big Stoppers in front of the lens and started taking pix. Never looked through view finder this kills your eye. All working in live  view and mirror lock up.
Settings varried between f16 - f/64 and all sorts of shutter speeds :)) oh ISO50 to the lowest I was able to set. And the background is total black.

IF THERE COMES AN ICE BEAR
Sometimes I receive a request for an image of mine with a little un-usual use for the end product. This request came out of the blue from ‪#Germany
However for the text on this cup is a little story behind: A German class learning English. Yep, that they can communicate out in the about in the world. However the person ordering this, well the class actually, told me the story behind the famous scene: They talked about all and about the world, till this student said in class: *If there comes an "Ice Bear".* This sentence was the runner up in this class till today!
WHY? Because in German we call a Polar Bear - Ice Bear, if you translate exactly the German words into English. Or a Racoon we say in German: Wash Bear :P again translated exactly the words! The "Okey-doke!" is a "phrase" the teacher loves to say "often!! :) This HAD to be on the cup as well.
Well, I could not resist and gave the students the file for free and in return I got the images of this great cup. Happy learning English and for all out there, as hard as it is: HAPPY LEARNING GERMAN :))
Hope you enjoy.

I'd love one! Is it possible to have one shipped to Canada? I do know of a very high end boutique in Ottawa that sells this type of stuff. They mostly specialize in soapstone and Innuit art,but I've seen various products in the store. You need to do a Canadian adventure :-))

Anette's galleries include fine art reproductions in color or black and white. With an extensive and thought-provoking portfolio, you have the opportunity to purchase prints and stock photos of her nature images for your home, offices or commercial use.

WHERE:

Anette’s nature and wildlife photography takes her around the world: from the unique natural world of Europe to the untamed African bush; the dense rainforests of Asia, to the starkness of the Australian outback; to the Arctic wilderness - home of the Svalbard polar bears. As a nature and wildlife photographer, travelling around the world presents endless opportunities to capture nature and wildlife images in a variety of situations!
