Hiked 9 miles on Wednesday. Found 0 of 3 caches. One had dnf's already, one hasn't been logged for almost five years, and one was found last month. Pretty good variety for me to miss them all. The hike was awesome, though. I saw one other person the whole time.

Nice pics Andy. I'd be even more jealous if I wasn't heading out in the am myself. Sometimes dnfs are just as rewarding as finds. Especially the old rustys as Jeff refers to them. I wish you could give favs to dnfs i have a few i consider worthy.

My early morning hike up to Snake Creek Pass and http://coord.info/GCY739 yesterday. Saw some moose breakfasting near Dog Lake. The Dog Lake near Lake Mary. It got a little foggy at the top but at the pass I could still see down toward Heber.

This is geocaching to me. Can you identify this cache, a supreme example of everything I love about this game?

I'd like to buy a vowel in the GC code.

A little nest of birdies I found today within the 100 yard radius of possibilities for the Tail of the Bunyip. AKA Bet U Never Yell I Phoundit.

So I just learned today that Joe is moving back to CA. Is someone going to set up a hiking event to see him off?

Joe sent me this:

I don't think Kellie can get a Monday off with the time she has remaining. Her last day is July 2nd. But I can see and we can work around that.

If Kellie can make it, I think Naomi Peak would be my first choice. It's the least elevation gain of all the choices, has lots of wildflowers (hopefully by then), the easiest trail and it's a county high point. If people want to camp the night before that's an option too. It does cost to pay for parking at the trailhead. I think the cost is $5. If Kellie can't make, I'll try to take her back on our own. We've already talked about Naomi as a hike before we leave.

Malan's Basin would probably be my second choice. If Kellie can't go, I can take Leo and it's all downhill the easy way on the tram, provided it's running then. I'd check before making that a choice. Of course we can just go up, then do a U-turn.

Cutler to Ben Lomond saddle or the peak is a trail I haven't taken yet, and one I'd like to see. If a round-trip hike, I'd probably start at Cutler and come down past Hard to Choose, because there's more available parking there for all cars, rather than just a shuttle. There are also picnic tables and places to relax together, which are not at the Cutler trailhead. I'd be happy just going to the saddle for that hike, since adding Ben Lomond Peak might be a bit much, depending on who comes along. We could do Chilly Peak as an alternate, since it's not far and not another climb.

Of course, please choose whatever hike you would like, and I'll go on it. Where's a place you guys haven't been, that would be a fun group hike?

Hope that gives you some ideas.

What are those things called from the Voyage of the Dawn Treader? Well, we got one. I want to say 'hoppy-taw' but I know that's wrong.

I heard a cache got the Weber county bomb squad called on it yesterday. Anyone know which one it was?

I wouldn't have been able to waddle away quickly enough to avoid the bomb squad, so definitely not me

It's kind of neat when google makes the animated gifs for you.

Our hike up to Gobbler's Knob from Butler Fork in Big Cottonwood http://coord.info/GCJQCZ . My son Jacob's (scrubukkit) longest hike and highest peak so far.

Looks amazing. "Gobbler's Knob" there's a joke somewhere in that name.

Nice windy day for a huger hike than I'd thought to Grandview Peak. The Church is still standing and is stocked with hotdogs and mustard. 12 miles round trip with lots of up and down. I died hiking it. But I lived.

Thanks for the GC Danny. That's definitely interesting.

One of my favorite caches (of my own) got bear-muggled. Again. It was found once in the past five years even though it's very kid friendly and has this super cool trail. If I can replace it, and if you find yourself in the Kamas valley, check it out.

Attention registered owners! These guys made me come down from Ogden to get our car which wasn't registered in my wife's name. They neglected to let her know that I could have faxed a notarized letter releasing it to her. Would have saved a lot of travel since I work next to an America First with notarys.

They smoke the ribs, smoke their own bacon, make everything fresh from scratch and it's delicious. One star off just cause it feels a little grimy. But food and service and prices are excellent.

Service was awful. I think he was understaffed. I know it was late but we were the only ones there for a while and he forgot the appetizers (tried to charge me for them at the end), forgot the drinks (he didn't even notice the syrup was very low in the Fanta when we asked for them) and never really asked how we were doing, or gave us any good tips on how to best eat this soup. Cause it's soup. Expensive soup. I know I won't go back but mostly because the restaurant was managed poorly.

We have purchased two violins so far. We will be buying more for sure. Everything has been superb doing business with Gliga. The teachers were very impressed too.

I loved living here but it's not my optometry clinic. I'm actually practicing in Coalville, a short 20 minute drive from Morgan.

These guys make me wish I had three middle fingers. I thought I had killed the engine on my mower - low on oil. After almost two weeks of holding on to my mower they finally tell me I need to rebuild or replace the engine for either $280 or $450 (I paid $350 for the mower two years ago). I opted to buy a new mower somewhere else and picked up my old one. It was in pieces and they charged me $20 for the time they took to look at it. A month later I finally got around to putting it back together, put some oil in it and turned the engine over with a breaker bar. Woah, it turned over. I pull the cord - it starts up and runs just fine. Why couldn't they have done this? I dealt with 5 or 6 different people along the way with these guys and every single one was a grade A jerk. Start to finish - on the phone, in person, everything. Bottom line - I'll never go there and will tell anyone I know to steer clear.
