tailored climate forecasts mostly at seasonal scales. Got a PhD in Atmospheric Physics worked on turbulence for a few years (and enjoyed it!) but then got hooked on uses of ensemble prediction systems - all those dimensions felt like home.
Known for being co-author of Hoshen and Morse dynamic malaria model now named Liverpool Malaria Model (LMM). As well LMM I work on modelling a range of infectious diseases mostly ones that are vector borne.
I work at the original red brick University.
Co-recipient of the World Meteorological Organization 2006 Norbert Gerbier-MUMM International Award.
