Church of St Lawrence, Eyam...

There has been a place of worship on this site from the the 13th century, the church's stained glass windows are mainly Victorian; the most recent window is more modern and depicts the story of the plague for which the village is famous. The Rector at the time of the plague, Rev William Mompesson, along with the non-conformist minister Mr Stanley were formative in the decision of the villagers to cut themselves off to prevent the plague from spreading. Inside the Church there is an information story board to help interpret some of its rich history.
The churchyard contains a very well preserved Saxon cross.

The Collegiate Church of the Holy Trinity...

The Church of the Holy Trinity at Tattershall was completed in 1500 AD having been endowed, in 1439 by King Henry VI, with Collegiate status, when the church was completed around 1500, it must have been a magnificent sight.  It remains into the modern day as an unparalleled gem of the 15th Century – a piece of English architectural splendour and a glorious monument to the vision and skill of its benefactors, designers and builders...

Legend has it , near the font is a plaque marking the grave of Tattershall's famous local resident, Tom Thumb, who was just 47 cm tall and died in 1620, aged 101. His tiny house can be seen on the roof of another, larger house in the village...

Tattershall Castle and The Stables...

Tattershall Castle has its origins in either a stone castle or a fortified manor house, built by Robert de Tattershall in 1231...

This was largely rebuilt in brick, and greatly expanded, by Ralph, 3rd Lord Cromwell, Treasurer of England, between 1430 and 1450...

About 700,000 bricks were used to build the castle, which has been described as "the finest piece of medieval brick-work in England"...

Of Lord Cromwell's castle, the 130 foot high Great Tower and moat still remain...
