From The Economist Espresso: Deliveries in space: fourth time lucky

http://econ.st/1T8l6Xq
“Rapid unplanned disassembly” is how Elon Musk, the boss of SpaceX, a rocket company, jokingly refers to failures that cause rockets to explode. Alas, there have been several examples lately, including the loss of one of SpaceX’s unmanned Falcon 9 craft last Sunday, shortly after lift-off on a cargo mission to the International Space Station. That followed the explosion in October of a resupply rocket built by Orbital Sciences, another private fi...

From The Economist Espresso: The truth is out there: World UFO Day

http://econ.st/1IO3VTS

From The Economist Espresso: Freedom and the open road: a July 4th ritual

http://econ.st/1T8laGS
Falling fuel prices are reintroducing many Americans to a cherished Independence Day tradition: sitting in a traffic jam. Despite reports that car culture is in decline, it seems that if filling up is cheap enough, the country still loves a road trip. This July 4th the national average price of a gallon of petrol (gasoline) is $2.77, almost a dollar less than a year ago, and the lowest on this date since 2010. The American Automobile Association ...

The food is awesome. Just a note though … if you're familiar with Indian food, make sure your server knows, so s/he steer you clear from the options geared towards the uninitiated. You don't want to make the mistake of ordering the sweet-sour chicken curry (that has no curry taste).
