G+ Questions - Desktop  -

Hi. I am confused about how to invite people who is NOT in my circle or address book to a private, invitation only community I own.

In the past, before the recent changes, when you click on Invite People, you can manually input email address (even if it's not a gmail address) and the invitation will be sent via email to the address.

In the new format, after I click on Invite People and Choose People to Share with, it only shows people that only exist on G+. If I try entering an email, it just tells me that there's no search result for that email and won't let me proceed. Is there a workaround?

+Paul Snedden I didn't realize there is a way to switch back to old G+. That helped! Thanks.

Not sure what version number was the previous release but it finally fixed out of sync issues between devices (2 android and 2 desktop in my case).  However, the problem seems to be back. Feeds marked as clear would re-appear when I refresh on the same device or will show up again on another one. Assuming it's the similar issue, articles marked to be saved are sometimes lost in transition.

Keep Climbing - Saw this butterfly slowly climbing up a leaf, who knows where it's headed.

Crossing Seasons

Sometimes I hate doing this kind of processing to a photo because it almost looks too much like an Instagram photo. But this is fitting so whatever, lol.

definitely something to look out for. if a tenth of the hype comes out real, it'll be nothing less than a revolution in cameras. it could almost make exposure control obsolete. i doubt we'll really see it in the public for at least 5 years.

Colorful Deliverer - caught this beauty while trying to find a shade to hide from the killer sun during the short trip to Arizona.

Early Bloom

It feels like the flowers are blooming sooner than usual. Possibly due to the rain in winter, immediately followed by warm days, and maybe global warming, who knows.  But it's pretty that's for sure.

It's a beautiful night out...

This is the first time I get to shoot moon after I got Pentax Q. I'm amazed with what I can get on this little camera.  Due to it's 5.6 crop sensor, with DA 50-300mm + 1.5x converter, it gives 2520mm.  The picture was only cropped a little; the moon almost filled the entire vertical frame.

It was an interesting experience to have Fire Ramen here. The owner has fully thought out the logistics of putting up a show and dine experience. You won't be able to take pictures of your own ramen being lit on fire for safety reasons. However, you will get a chance to observe other guests before they give you your bill. I had the wrong impression that they simply don't want people to be taking photos because of earlier instructions forbidding you from taking it for your own ramen. Otherwise, I'd have taken out my DSLR for some interesting photos. While the fire might be mostly for show, it does add a little bit interesting and different flavor to the ramen itself. The ramen was delicious and the service was very good. Long wait if you arrive late because they can only seat so many people by the counter for the fiery experience.

The service is good, staff are friendly, and the meals are tasty. However, most of the staff do not speak English. On top of that, we were given very little information about the facility. It would be really helpful if they had an instruction sheet in English to hand it to the guests. The in-room, onsen was better as an idea than the reality. First room given to us had completely broken onsen and they seemed to know about it (what? We paid for that.) They upgraded our room but then we quickly realized that their water boiler can't keep up with amount of water used by the guests so we had to wait for some odd hours to use it.

Nice, clean location. Good amount of parking, although the streets leading to the store can be crowded depending on the time.

There are not many Costco business centers around. They carry some of the similar items as the regular Costco but mute than half of the items are more geared toward businesses. However some of those items are great and inexpensive for home use as long as you have space for them!

Convenient location to the train station. Private onsen get booked quickly. Rooms are pretty decent and the service is great.

Awesome food, especially the rice dishes. It's a bit on the pricier side; however, the portions are big. They should technically feed two people but they are so good it's hard to share.

Tasty food, friendly service. The service is not fast so make sure you have plenty of time and enjoy your food.
