HP to give Android a go.

After what can only be described as a disaster with their purchase of WebOS, HP are again getting In on the tablet game. The HP Slate is a tablet aimed at the folk who like their tablets small and aren't willing to pay huge sums of money. What could cause them issues is the success of the Nexus 7 and the likes of Samsung who have their own 7-inch tablet. Competition is fierce and with everyone concerned about specs, the HP slate might just get looked over.

It comes with Jelly Bean, Android 4.1, a good start but then 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage seem pretty poor. It'll all be powered by an ARM Dual Core Cortex-A9 1.6 GHz processor, pre-loaded will be all the usual Google goodies plus some of their own apps like e-print. If cameras are important, 3 megapixels on the back and VGA at the front. HP may struggle with this one, they have been more so seen as the company for the business , the only HP product in my home is our printer. Wish they did right by webOS.

Still, it may not even make it to the UK.

'wish they did right by Webos' here here. Such as shame it's almost vanished.
