Most Android devices have the same instructions to reset your device although many times users are new to Android and want to know how to wipe all the data from their specific device.  When selling your device this is most important although sometimes you just want to wipe all data and get the phone back to its factory settings to start over.

Amazon Finally Releasing a Phone?  Here is a leaked photo per BGR.

Rumors of an Amazon smartphone has been making its way around for years now but we may finally have a peek of one for real.  This is said to have 6 cameras.  Before you get too crazy with speculation it seems there is one rear and one front camera for normal use and the others are more sensors than camera's although they are there and will likely have interesting uses once some apps are developed for it. #amazonphone   #amazonsmartphone   #smartphone

Was thinking the same thing although it seems that the phone is in an enclosure to keep us from seeing the actual phone.  I guess only time will tell

Samsung's first Tizen phones launching in Q2 2014

Samsung's first Tizen powered smartphones are set to hit the market in Q2 of this year according to a report by Reuters. Yoon Han-kil, senior vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, said that the first phone to launch around the end of the second quarter will be a high end model, with the next a more mid-range effort. He also said that "Android still needs to be our main business."

Samsung has previously tried to launch Tizen smartphones through Orange and NTT Docomo but failed due to "poor market conditions." Seemingly the timing is now better, and would follow Samsung's Tizen powered wearables, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo to market.

Google Play has more Downloads but Less Revenue than Apple's App Store

Google Play Store worldwide downloads are now exceeding iOS App Store downloads by roughly 45 percent. But while downloads are higher in the Play Store, it seems the iOS App Store is generating more revenue. These details, amongst others, are coming by way of the latest App Annie Market Index report.

Details here point towards how the iOS App Store is "comfortably ahead" in terms of the worldwide revenue. It was said the iOS App Store is generating about 85 percent more revenue as compared to the Google Play Store. The image sitting below offers a look at how the downloads and revenue compare for Q1 2014.

We are proud Android users in part because of the fact that Google doesn't try to milk us of our hard earned money.  There are many apps that are paid via Apple that we get free from Play.  This said its not a surprise that Apple makes more from apps than Google.

Google I/O Registration Starts Today!

Sign-ups start today, and run through the end of the week. Rather than doing the server-crushing dance we’re used to, Google instead opted to let us sign up over the course of a few days. After that, we’re still subject to the luck of the draw, with Google now letting us in via a “lottery” system.

The cost for attending is $900 for general admission, and $300 for academic. If you think you can sneak in as a student, it may not be so easy — Google notes you must be “an active full-time student, professor, faculty or staff at a high school or higher education institution”, and will need to provide adeqaute credentials to prove you’re a student when you pick your badge up on-site. If you don’t have the proper ID (student ID, transcripts, etc.), you may be turned away — and out $300.

The conference takes place June 25 and 26 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco. Keep in mind that a pre-authorization will be placed on your credit card on file with Google Wallet, but not charged until you are actually accepted to attend. #googleio   #googleio2014
