Also +Android Police ,you guys always post great stuff...i always go check here on G+ with my mobile and i read your articles. Great work and G+ is rly nice for what i use it (articles, exchange of opinions)

TiBu needs to take a wakelock while doing the sync to Google Drive. For some reason, if the device goes to "sleep" during the sync, the sync fails.

Also sync to Drive gets confused on repeat attempts to sync, and creates duplicate files: eg com.foobar.example.{timestamp}.properties and com.foobar.example.{timestamp} (1).properties. These both correspond to the SAME backup file on the sdcard, so only one should exist on Drive.

Dropbox sync has none of these problems, so it's the code for syncing to Drive that has the bugs.

Drive just isn't good enough for me yet, plus when I get my GS III they give me 50gb for two years with dropbox

+Richard Brink , I guess if Dropbox let you keep that 50 gigs, that would be nice. But what happens at the end of 2 years when you have the space filled up and have to move it all if you don't want to pay for it? I'm not disagreeing with you, I just hate having to move files when my "free space" is revoked.

Free space for a limited time doesn't sell me. What I don't like about Google drive is that it doesn't send links to people, it sends the actual whole file smh

Damn I didn't see that option on the app, I'm going to check again. Thanks for the heads up

+Aaron Echols I can't find that option on the android app, it's not there. Have you actually used Google drive?

I see the option share the file in an email, or to share with other (I assume) Google users, but I don't see anywhere to share as a link. So to me it looks like you can share the file in email or share the file with other Gmail users. Unfortunately there are some people out there that do not have a Gmail address. That's what I like about Dropbox. You can share a file as a link with someone that doesn't even have a DB account.

Its the option to share so only users with the link can view the file.

Screenshot please

I'm not near my computer right now

The app is pending this implementation, from the webui it's there
Peter A

Thats my point, it might be possible from desktop but not from android app

Good news: I found where to do it from the webui. Bad news: not yet available in the Android app.

Well, Dropbox wasn't perfect when it was released either. As a work around, you can send the file from Drive to DB, and then share from DB. I just tested this successfully.

I'm not mad, once it's here this will be my only cloud service. till then ill use dropbox

I just posted a link as a test. Please let me know if it works.

Got 80% through (1hr on wifi) and then crashed. Guess I got hit by it sleeping. Hoping for a fix soon. At least Dropbox still works, so I'll use that until the fix
