Would you say that Instagram asking for access to all my photos is normal behavior? I bet your algorithm would given that access photos and files is such an abundantly used permission on android.
However, why can I not share photos from Google Photos to Instagram to post it there? Why is access to all photos and files a permission asked and provided so nonchalantly? What we really need is finer controls about apps and their own folders and photo galleries. Let's not share all files with all apps just because an app needs to write a simple file somewhere.1w
