Texas Instruments launches first all-in-one USB Type-C & PD controller

Post by +Edgar Cervantes
Krunkwerke/Flickr The new USB Type-C is about to take over the tech industry and every company out there is getting ready for it. Starting today, you can include Texas Instruments to the list. The chip manufacturer has announced the world's first all-in-one USB Type-C and Power Delivery (PD) controller - the TPS65982. But just what is this thing? Surely, it sounds like something meant for engineers... and it is. This is likely what many ma...

Google+ as we know it is changing, and that’s a good thing

Post by +Jimmy Westenberg
In 2011, Google came up with a plan to unite many of its services through a single social networking website called Google+. It wasn't meant to be a Facebook clone, where users would go to connect with their loved ones or to share annoying viral videos, and it also lacked the instantaneous gratification that came with posting a tweet about a current event. Instead, it quickly found a home among passionate people who shared common interests. Wheth...

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 leaks yet again, showing off new Air Command menu

Post by +Jimmy Westenberg
Samsung is holding its big Unpacked event next Thursday, August 13th, where the Korean tech company is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Note 5. We've already seen a ton of in-hand photos of the new device, along with what's purported to be official press renders of both the Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. There have also been a few photos showing off a brief glimpse of the new Note's software, but none that reveal any new features the device...

T-Mobile officially passes Sprint as the third-largest mobile carrier in the US

Post by +Jimmy Westenberg
Shutterstock T-Mobile has been growing its overall number of subscribers in the United States pretty rapidly throughout the past few months, adding anywhere between one and two million just about every quarter. At the same time, Sprint has been seeing an increasing number of subscriber losses or gains that just can't compete with those of the Un-carrier. We all pretty much knew this would happen eventually, and now, according to Sprint and T-...

30,000 OnePlus 2 handsets were sold in just 64 seconds in China

By +Nirave Gondhia
When it launched last year, Chinese manufacturer OnePlus received a lot of support from its customers despite being a newcomer to the market and one year later, the OnePlus 2 looks set to follow in its predecessor's footsteps. For customers around the world, the company sells the OnePlus 2 in the same way the OnePlus One was and as a result, you need to wait for an invite to buy before you can actually buy the handset. The company does thi...

Does everyone hate the invite system that much? You really all would prefer the Kickstarter plan, where they get your money right away and then you wait for months?

You can now control your Android phone from Windows 10 (with a little tinkering)

Post by +Edgar Cervantes
Why is it we still can't control our smartphones with our computers? It's 2015, guys - this should be an added feature, but the differences in platforms slows things down a bit. With the upgrade to Windows 10 spreading and introducing Cortana, though, it is now possible to send commands to your phone (and other things) from your PC. Sadly, this is not exactly an included feature and will require a few software downloads. The set-up process is ...

Link Bubble receives big update to version 1.5 as it gets a new owner

Post by +Jimmy Westenberg
Developer Chris Lacy released a browser app called Link Bubble back in March 2014, which aimed to fix many of the problems most mobile internet browsers ran into on a regular basis. Today that app is getting a big update to version 1.5, which will bring some new functionality and more Material Design enhancements to the floating bubble browser. There's now support for drop down elements in Link Bubble, which was a feature that was noticeably m...

Angry Birds 2 review: how does it compare to the original?

Post by +Edgar Cervantes
The very first Angry Birds game was launched in December 2009. Since then, it has collected over 100 million downloads in the Google Play Store and currently holds almost 3 million 5-star reviews. This application is off the charts and continues to be one of the most entertaining casual games around, but we do have to say a successor was due after 6 years. We have seen plenty of other Angry Birds iterations, but those were really just themed t...

I played Angry Birds 2 about 3- days ago and it was good but you have to wait otherwise to pay to refill the lives again.

The performance is not optimized for midrange devices like Asus Zenfone C.
It cause a lot of stutter which annoys me very much.

Other than that it's a good game.

16GB Moto G (3rd gen) already seemingly sold out on Moto Maker

Post by +Andrew Grush
Just last week Motorola took the veil off its new flagship Moto X Pure Edition (Style), alongside the Moto X Play and the Moto G. While the former of these two have yet to go on sale, the Moto G has been on sale since its announcement. The 3rd-gen Moto G isn’t a dramatic departure from its predecessors, though it does improve on a few key areas, offering certified water resistance, Moto Maker support, and a higher-end model that features 16GB sto...

Post by: +Matthew Benson
Along with the official announcement of the Galaxy Tab S2 for South Korea, yesterday's news also brought with it a mysterious 'keyboard bundle' for the larger, 9.7-inch tablet variant. With the OEM's domestic website now having an official page for the product, the keyboard cover can be seen in all its glory, along with the presence of a very interesting development: a track pad. Early last year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab PRO line of...
