My cycling idol and all around legend, Robbie McEwen, stopped by the office today during his brief visit to San Francisco. Coolest thing ever!

That is completely awesome.  You should have challenged him to a sprint.

The legendary bicycle race is on hold after excited riders discovered a secret path through a forest that had tons of cool jumps and ended down by a nasty old creek.

Holy shit. +Strava +Zwift
On Sunday, Frank Garcia reached the summit of Mt. Everest after pedaling a total of 165 miles across 17 hours and 18 minutes, averaging a 7% grade and consuming over 18,000 calories of food to make it. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” he told us.

It didn't get quite the same media attention as Daredevil or House of Cards, but Netflix's latest original (docu-)series, Chef's Table, is really fun, especially if you're a wanna-be-foodie like Kristine or I.

Delicious! I hear the wait can be atrocious, but Kristine and I went early (6pm) and sat down almost immediately. At $17 pet bowl, the ramen is a bit pricey.

Peaceful and quiet, extremely friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and fantastic s'mores. The perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Easily one of the top pools in the area for serious lap swimmers. The staff is friendly and the schedule is always posted online. It's typically set up for short course (25-yard) swimming, but be sure to check out long course (50-meter) lap swim on Sundays and occasional weekdays. For visitors or travelers, drop-in rates are low ($6-7). BAC could probably get away with charging more, but the affordable nature of their drop-in rates is part of what keeps me coming back time after time. I live in San Francisco, but often drive (or bike) down south for a swim — it's worth it! Even when the fog's laying thick over SF, the sun is always shining in Burlingame!

Incredibly relaxing stay on Hawaii's best island. You'll feel like you're living in Paradise. The proprietors, Ben and Cathy, are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable — brimming with great recommendations and insights. Must visit!

My wife and I popped into Aperto for an impromptu date night - our first in our new neighorhood! - and really, really enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious; the pasta was so fresh and flavorful that we forgot to save room for a secondi. Guess we'll be back soon!
