Over the last six months, our MAKEwithMOTO team took Sticky, a truck wrapped entirely in velcro and filled with rooted, hackable Motorola smartphones and high-end 3D printing equipment, across the country for a series of make...

Its name was Internet Explorer 6. Now that we’re in 2011, in an era of modern web standards, it’s time to say goodbye to IE 6. Update from IE 6 now to latest Internet Explorer.

I didn't realize 13 states have a Sunday alcohol purchase ban.
A coalition of convenience and grocery stores said Wednesday that they will renew their push for Sunday carry-out alcohol sales and cold sales of beer, but with a twist.

10-months in the making, but we launched the Awesome Controller kickstarter last night. Awesome Controller lets you use your modern, wireless Wii and/or PS3 controllers to play your NES, SNES, N64, etc. consoles. No wires. No juggling 3 sets of old half-working controllers.

If you have any friends/family who still play their old consoles or who are interested in #arduino + Bluetooth (we have a shield version), I'd really appreciate a re-share or a mention.

Some friends and I built the prototype using an Arduino during a startup weekend event, and now we're ready to see if there are actually folks out there who wants this to become a real thing that really gets manufactured. We've had fun playing Mario Kart 64 with wiimotes, but I'm hopeful that our work might be useful to more than just the five of us.

The entire thing is open source (both hardware and software) and we'd love to get enough backers to actually get some of these in peoples' hands.

Employers who are asking their workers for Facebook passwords are exposing themselves to "unanticipated legal liability," Facebook's chief privacy officer Erin Egan said today. Employers might not be trained in such a way to handle that private information, which could open them up to legal action on claims of discrimination and other privacy-related snafus, Egan said. "For example, if an employer sees on Facebook that someone is a member of a pr...

Amazon rocks. I've been looking in to some "sleep manager" devices for monitoring my sleep patterns, and finally decided on one to try out first--ordered it yesterday morning, and it was here before 9:30 the morning after. Awesomes.
It's that time of the year! Amazon has released its great list of goofy facts about holiday sales. More to come, but for now, here's the raw list from Amazon: Holiday Fun Facts Shipping: The last One-Day Prime order that was delivered in time for Christmas was placed on Dec. 22 at 11:59 p.m. PST and shipped to Ballwin, Mo. The item was “The Cook’s Herb Garden,” a book by Jeff Cox and Marie-Pierre Moine. The last Local Express Delivery order that...
