My name is Andrew, and I am a tech enthusiast. Currently, I am preparing for the launch of +TechDissected
with +Cliff Wade
and the rest of the team from +Android Dissected
My first experience with a smartphone was back in the days of TRUELY unlimited data with the iPhone 3G on AT&T in 2008, and ever since then I've played with Android, iOS, and a little tiny bit of a foray with Windows 7.5. I've fallen in and out of love with different devices over the years, and always came back to iOS due its simplicity and my love for jailbreaking.
I first experienced rooting with the HTC Evo 4G on Sprint, and after almost bricking my device, gave it up and switched back to an iPhone when it hit Verizon with the iPhone 4. The first Android device that I fell in love with the T-Mobile G2. That device was my first true love, and if it wasn't for the awkward keyboard, I might never have left Android. But that keyboard kept breaking, and I got tired of calling for replacements, so I moved on, back to another iPhone.
Fast forward a few years, it was time to make a decision, go with the Galaxy S3, or the iPhone 5. A friend of mine told me to just tinker around and play with the S3, and I was sold. After getting my precious Ruby Red S3, I went all in with Android, and after getting the Nexus 7 2012, I applied for a writing position with Android Dissected. Over the last year or so, I have had the following devices:
- Ruby Red Galaxy S3
- Nexus 4
- Galaxy S4
- HTC One (M7)
- BlackBerry Z10
- LG G2
- Galaxy Note 3
- iPhone 5S
- Nexus 5
- HTC One (M8)
My current every day loadout consists of my HTC One (M8), 32GB Space Gray iPhone 5S, and my 16GB Black Nexus 5. My computer bag, which I never leave home without, carries my 2010 MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and more cables and cords that I know what to do with.
My life is an open book, and all it takes is a simple question. I love meeting new people, and getting to know those who I've known for awhile.
