Short and to the point. Your safety is never guaranteed, so why would you willingly worsen your odds?

Even if this anecdote doesn't show us that a gun will always save the day (it won't, that's YOUR job), it certainly proves that gun free zones aren't so gun free. You know, like all the other times a shooting happened in a gun free zone.

Some classic knowledge. KEEP IT SIMPLE! By toys method you will rarely fail.

I know those Magpul guys added a bunch of extra stuff to it, but this is where it started.

Hey, gunners. I'm trying to put together an album of anti-gunners making violent threats against/wishing death upon gun owners. If you guys stumble across any comments like these, link me to them or post them here so I can add them to the collection.

Here's another one of Tina's. This isn't the post itself, but there are two comments on it where her and another poster are talking about how they can't wait until the guys out in oregon start killing each other over food and water.

+Jeremy Younger you need to re-read my comment if that's what you got out of it.

And consent is a marvelous thing, but it's not always realistic. You can't unilaterally opt out of any social contract, at least not without significant repercussions that ultimately mean that opting out is a bad idea.

I think it's funny that any defense of the NFA has to eventually refer to the violence perpetrated by gangsters in the '30s, which was an externality of alcohol prohibition. So, we should keep silencers on the NFA registry because gangsters did bad things with them, but we're all still down with prohibition having been repealed because gangsters were doing bad things to sell alcohol?

It also just about never comes up that America is actually one of the few countries that restricts suppressor ownership, even counting European countries whose cultures and laws are heavily aligned against gun ownership.

If someone can satisfactorily explain to me how that's logically consistent, I'll shut up about it.

Which gun laws ARE "logically consistent"? The only thing consistent about them is that they are illogical. Mr. Moursund, it would be easier to understand their logic if you took reason and accountability out of the equation. Sounds like you're too smart to think like them.

'“The citizens need to know they need to be able to protect themselves because if they call 911, we can’t guarantee we’re going to get there in time to help you,” says Police Protective League President Jamie McBride.'

LOS ANGELES. PICK ONE.

You can't make it difficult for your subjects to defend themselves and then abandon them because you're not getting enough of their sweet tax booty. Well, I guess you CAN, but it's completely not cool.
The police union says between 5:30 and 10 a.m., there were just two patrol cars assigned to the West LA division. Two cars to protect more than 200,000 people in a 65 square mile radius.

Everyone is outsourcing their gun manufacturing to the states. Me likey.

Given how slow Sig is to bring new guns to market, I might even have enough time to save up for one of these. Dig those grips, too. They look like Nill Griffe's work.
The SIG SAUER P210 is by far my favorite handgun that they have ever produced in the history of ever. The gun is an absolute work of art, with internal rails and an extremely low bore axis. The trigger isRead More

I'm out here in Liberty Hill shooting guns and eating from food trucks. It's much bigger than last year but the lines still move pretty fast. I'm stoked!

Anyone else at the Texas Gun Festival? Let me know and we'll meet up and talk about how cool all these guns are.

I'm sure Karras did his legal homework, but at the end of the day he was trolling police officers in California. He put his freedom on the line to make this brilliant piece of pro-gun agitation. Mr. Karras is a hero.

All societies are necessarily built on this foundation of coercion; it undermines all attempts to create a pure way. Purity is impossible; heterogenity is inevitable. Embrace pollution and admixture!
