I have given up trying to understand the American obsession with gun ownership. I don't know the detail of this story, but no doubt once again it is another tradegy that need not have happened. Fortunately in the UK we have moved on to more civilised behaviour, and understand that gun ownership is no longer an essential part our society. Unless you are a farmer and need to shoot Badgers. But that is not legal either?
Well that’s nice. The four children of the gun instructor shot dead a couple of weeks ago while giving a nine-year-old lessons on firing an Uzi submachine gun at the Bullets and Burgers shooting range in Arizona have released a video telling the girl she shouldn’t blame herself and they love her. “Some day, we hope that we can meet you, hug you and tell you that it’s OK,” one of his young sons says.

Jeremy Hunts new strategy is to centre NHS funding and care around our local GP. But there aren't going to be enough GPs. So demand for NHS services will be limited at the point of entry. So there won't be a funding crisis in the NHS anymore.
Job done Jeremy - we should be happy?
Take-up of family doctor training is at its lowest level since 2007, sparking fears there may soon be not enough GPs to cope

If you haven't tried Airbnb yet you should. But don't tell your friends, we don't want the whole world to know how good it is.
And have you tried Parkatmyhouse? Why not?

Jeremy Hunts new strategy is to centre NHS funding and care around our local GP. But there aren't going to be enough GPs. The majority will be female, so they could be on maternity leave. So demand for NHS services will be limited at the point of entry. So there won't be a funding crisis in the NHS anymore.

This is a vegetarian restaurant now called "Vegetalia". I'm by no means a vegetarian or vegan, but the food here is decilious, healthy and reasonably priced. OK, so we are staying in an apartment nearby (thanks to AirBnB and Demi & Tomas) but it is such good food. Well worth checking out.

We hired 2 Segways today!! You have to hire as part of "a tour". My son and I ended up with 3 guides. One pretty, young girl, who was learning her role as a Guide, and two other guys. 58 Euros for one hour is not cheap, 29 each, but better value than many of their competitors. And an hour on a Segway is long enough! You are standing and balancing, and a bit like skiing, it takes concentration and muscle control. It was great fun, but not as 'relaxing' as it might look. The tour goes around the waterfront areas, so you avoid the crowded allies of the old town. Well worth a try. I'm 65 and my son is 18. Remember to find Euro Segway, as listed here. There are many others with longer, and hence more expensive "tours".

The clue is in the brand name - it is an Inn, not a hotel. It is not close enough to walk to LG Arena, and the route is not "walking friendly" - walking along roads, roundabouts etc. If you can't stay at Crowne Plaza or Hilton, look elsewhere, as you have to take a taxi ride anyway. We used overnight when The Eagles were at the LG Arena. The Inn could not cope with demand for food, beers etc. And it was noisy until 1:00am. The car park was full and double parked, I guess because it is near to the Airport and they sell the spaces! Why did I give 2 Stars? I didn't want to appear mean. [Other Premier Inns elsewhere are OK.] This one rips you off, as prices are high and car parking is a further £6.00 - if you can find a space!!!

Friendly and helpful. Good value. Can Recommend. We hired 2 bikes for the day. They open at 10:00 am and close at 19:00. 2 bikes cost us 15 Euros. No deposit required. He wanted Driving Licence as security. Good locks. Bikes worked fine. Easy grip twist gear change. 5 gears is OK around city. Use cycle lanes along Seafront.

Best to visit during the working week. Weekends can be very busy. It is a big space, on several floors, so it is advisable to plan ahead.
