My only concern with bid adjustments based on when conversions come is you have to be confident that the click you get at 8am (for example) isn't what leads to the bookings you get at 8pm the next day. Lowering bids just because you don't get conversions in that time period could see you lose clicks that lead to conversions - especially in industries that have +2 click to conversion pathways - couldn't it?
 
+Andy Holden You're absolutely right, Andy.. It's a serious concern and should have been addressed. Can't believe I forgot about it. 

It goes right up the alley with remembering to compare your results after initiating any bid adjustments. I've seen performance increases after decreasing night time and morning bids for one Client while the same change for a similar Client caused a decrease in performance.
