I have some questions related to Groups that I wanted to pose to the group. With the recent changes to Groups, you can no longer check the stats of the group (e.g. demographics, geography, and last discussion post). Has anyone heard if they are bringing that kind of data back or if there is another way to access it? Also, does anyone know of a tool, extension, or app that can export the list of group members?
Just wondering what others have seen related to Chrome extensions and scrapers like Cloutex, eLink, and the original SalesLoft that derive information from LinkedIn to be used elsewhere. As LinkedIn cracks down on third party access, are the days numbered for solutions like these? Part of me suspected that that's why SalesLoft pivoted. Have folks found success with any of these or something else?
Today, I was showing a colleague how to use advanced search better. We used CRM as a keyword, 1st, 2nd, and Group connections, CXO and VP for seniority, and 50-200 and 200-500 for company size. The results showed first level connections from companies she knows are smaller than 50 employees and in some cases less than 10 employees. Despite specifying company size does other criteria like 1st or 2nd degree connection or mutual groups take precedence? Just wondering if others have had similar experiences with advanced search.
With the revamped messages and invitations, am i right that archived invitations that have been previously accepted are no longer available? I am trying to go back to check some original invitations but cannot find an archive or equivalent with past accepted invitations accessible.
+Andrew Jenkins I haven't watched the video so it may be answered in there. It's on the same page as people that have invited you pending acceptance from you, which is the same page as people you may know. Click see all on the dropdown from the person icon with the plus sign next to your thumbnail picture top right. That will take you to that page and you will see another drop down on the same header line that says people you may know on the far right hand side. The dropdown there gives you the option to view sent invitations. Note it will only list people who haven't yet accepted and you can see their customised invitation you sent. You can also only see the customised invitation of people you haven't yet accepted. But unfortunately you can not see past invitations requests. I can't find it anywhere and it doesn't either appear on the message thread on their profile. Not sure I've been that much assistance, but you can at least see the customised invited of ones that you haven't yet accepted. They really have dropped a lot from the new message system, interesting!
I am currently using it. I signed on when it was first released but found onboarding and first few weeks problematic. Not sure how people feel about having to have two tabs open where one tab treats you like a non-premium user and the other tab is sales navigator.
Does anyone know much about who is behind this trending content site related to LinkedIn and whether or not it is an ongoing thing? The content seems to stop being tracked as of a few months ago. http://linkedin-trendin.elasticbeanstalk.com/
Welcome to our Trending Content visualization. Trending Content lets you understand the topics and articles that audiences are sharing on LinkedIn. By scrolling through the different audience segments, you can understand their preferences which will allow you to tailor your content accordingly.
I did wonder this myself but my guess is its 3rd party. If the content stopped being tracked a few months ago then that would coincide with Linkedin's announcement that they were severely restricting the API
Can you make someone an admin of your LinkedIn Company page without them having to a position listed in their LinkedIn profile showing their affiliation with the organization? It is not always an employee scenario. I am on do boards of non-profit organizations and have associated roles but I want to know in case administration were to be outsourced.
Thanks. Much appreciated. I should have clicked on that link earlier when I was in the area of the help section. Will have to test it in the real world but, as you say, it does not stipulate the requirement for the new admin to have a corporate email or role within their own profile.
