Actually… if you combine both iOS (iPhone & iPad), the number of unit ships already exceeds PC sales. And if you include all Apple products, it would dwarf the rest.

Totally with Patrick here. I have a number of folks who I haven't added to Circles cause the incentives aren't clear. I do have an "Industry" circle that go beyond "Acquaintances,", so let me know if that should be the case.

It didn't take long for the numbers to get unwieldy on Google+. It's hard to keep up.

So, an experiment:

If I am not following you, and you think I should be, tell me why and tell me what to call the circle I put you in.

You're also welcome to tell me why I should not follow you, or why I should stop following you.

No guarantees that I will do anything about any of this.

This story is heartbreaking, and every parent's nightmare. Interesting comments from parents about when and how to let your kids walk around alone. They need to learn freedom and independence -- but also that the world is dangerous.

G+ gives me an opportunity to redo my circles. Specifically identify folks who I will send Christmas cards to (Friends) and folks who I can remember having drinks with in the past (acquaintances).

I'm using "Following" for Media or businesses ( Mashable, Huffington Post) that have jumped in there and added a profile. Sort of like Facebook "Pages."

More G+ "circle" talk: 1) I have a circle for "industry" people but now it seems I should be more granular and sub-circle: visual media, technology and social... or not. 2) Question: is there a way to list the people I've hidden?

Just a thought, folks... before you include "strangers" into your circle, it might be a good idea to fill out your bio and tell us a little something about yourself. Otherwise, there's completely no incentive to put you in a circle.

Friends and colleagues are coming in (G+). My stream is starting to look interesting. But the feed is more like Twitter + Tumblr (professional connections) than it is my Facebook (family + friends).

I love Keith's idea. For now, I'm thinking I'd like to move all the random acquaintances off Facebook, leaving it for people I actually know, and connecting to all the Twitter/Linked In/Work/News discussions here.

Ha. I actually uploaded a higher resolution image since G+ used one scrapped from somewhere else.
