Yet another reason not to run 32 bit.

The researchers waited to release the full details until Microsoft fixed all of the flaws, but Microsoft later informed them that they didn't plan to patch the remaining bugs because they didn't affect 64-bit systems.

A bit shrill but worth reading.
The Murdoch-owned paper tries to exploit this mindset: "If some anonymous government officials said it, and journalists repeat it while hiding who they are, I guess it must be true."

I've basically lost all respect for journalists. It is so rare for me to read an article and go "Wow! They did a really good job". The other thing that amazes me (particularly on stuff.co.nz) is the standard of proof reading. Not just spelling errors, but broken sentences that make no sense and repeated sentences/paragraphs.

It really doesn't have anything to do with colour vision. It's about telling the difference between shades/intensity.

The box to reply in the affirmative will be checked by default, the Wall Street Journal reported, so those not paying attention might find themselves using Yahoo search even if they didn't mean to.

"There’s is a lot that’s right about the UFB network. It’s a great idea. For the most part it’s been well executed. But let’s not delude ourselves. It’s not perfect, nor is it going from strength-to-strength. Not yet."

Samples presented as MDMA fared no better. Of 23 tested, only four showed positive for MDMA, MDA or MDE (the test kits cannot distinguish between MDMA and the two analogues). All four were in white powder or crystal form. A further nine crystal samples presented in the belief they were MDMA tested negative. By contrast, all crystal samples presented to ESR as MDMA in the past year have been found to contain MDMA.

Great prices, a nice room and lots of character. We were amazed with the "Breakfast Pack", where we fed both of us for $12, with what would have cost upwards of $20 each at a cafe.

Stopped in on Boxing Day and had a great meal. The starters were huge and my maple infused lamb on mash was brilliant. My partner was also very happy with her tomato and olive pasta. The service was great and the staff very friendly.

Great beer, great service, followed by spectacular pork bellies (the crackling was amazing) and a wicked cherry and apple crumble.
