Andrew Conte is an investigative reporter for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, author of the best-selling book Breakaway, and founding director of the Point Park News Service at Point Park University.
Introduction

Andrew has won numerous national and state awards for his journalism, including a Scripps Howard Foundation award for business reporting, the Carnegie Science Award and first-place honors from the Inland Press Association, the Association of Health Care Journalists, the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors and the Associated Press Society of Ohio. Four times, the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania has awarded Andrew its top overall reporting prize. The Pennsylvania Society of Professional Journalists twice has recognized Andrew with the Spotlight Award, its top prize for investigative reporting. The Tribune-Review has twice named him its reporter of the year.  

Andrew received a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
