Hi,

Just to point out that the unofficial repository for Arch Linux, [gnome-devel] and [gnome-devel-testing] that my brother +Fernando Fernandez and I maintain won't be operational for a while, due to a fire in the company that provides de host service.

Sorry, this time is not our fault ;)

Hi folks!

My brother (+Fernando Fernandez) and I have been working again on the Gnome Alpha Versions repository for Arch Linux. We have already package and upload all packages that release the third alpha release of this development cycle (3.23.3).

It works pretty well both on wayland and X.org session.

Rigth now we uploaded both x86_64 and i686 packages.

We hope that this could help to make easier to test alpha and beta releases of Gnome.

If you want to try it, at your own risk, you should add this lines to you /etc/pacman.conf:

[gnome-devel]
Server = http://softwareperonista.com.ar/repo/archlinux/gnome-devel/$arch

Import and sign the new public key:

# pacman-key -r DDCE9FD63370080B
# pacman-key --lsign-key DDCE9FD63370080B

If you want to back to stable version you jut have to delete or comment the [gnome-devel] entry in your /etc/pacman.conf file and run:

# pacman -Syuu

Enjoy it!

Vala FTW!
Riddle solved: Python imports are super heavy, and GObject Introspection enormously heavy.

30MB overhead before I even do anything.
