Here's a little thing that I'm using for almost *3 years* now. It's an automation setup to quickly open a tab from an iPhone on a Mac.

Though I’m avoiding any news related to yesterday’s ‪#‎apple‬ event, I’m very excited to see videos coming to the ‪#‎appstore‬! As long-time screencaster and app video producer these are very good news. I'm gladly looking forward to work with all developers following me here who want us to make their app look awesome!

I use Day One to collect quotes. I also want to have a random quote on my desktop. At the moment GeekTool does that.
On top I have a TextExpander snippet that outputs a random quote from my quotes as.

To export the quotes from Day One it always used to be a huge pain because I had to run the export through several regular expressions. Luckily there are ways to automate Day One.

Problems and Questions  -

I found it cumbersome to share my current location with friends, so they can easier find me, out and about. You never know who has which device, and what maps app. With Drafts 4 it's super-easy to build a workflow that shares the location easily, and universally. I've tested this with Google Maps and Apple Maps. Just paste latitude and longitude coordinates in the search field and the app drops a pin.

Share Location on iOS written I’m often annoyed that I can’t share my location universally from my mobile device. It seems ridiculous …

I've been checking out JavaScript for OS X automation. It's quite powerful. We get a lot, but there's practically no documentation available, in terms of code. This post contains some links to get you started.

JavaScript for OS X Automation: Exotic Recipes - JXA Cookbook http://ow.ly/2SDerC
The future of OS X automation looks quite powerful with UIAutomation introduced to iOS, and now to OS X. JXA can even use npm modules and CoffeeScript. JavaScript is broadly available and does not...

No, the integration is basically a 100% equivalent to AppleScript. Everything you can do in AS, you can do JXA.

Hi everyone. Would love to hear a suggestion here. I've read David's post on Voice Dream Reader and looked on the App Store for other TTS apps. The only other comparable app that I found is NaturalReader. It looks way better and is easier to use, but isn't as long on the market as Voice Dream, at least not on the iOS market.

Has anyone here checked both apps out? +Bakari Chavanu, maybe you? I saw your post on makeuseof (http://mosx.tv/1kVMngZ)
On the heels of our recent Read it Later show, I received an email from listener David Ianni concerning an app I’d never heard of before, Voic Dream ($10). If you’ve ever wanted to have your iPhone read out loud entries from your Instapaper or Pocket lists, Voice Dream is exactly what you’re looking for. It grabs any selected article and reads it to you out loud. I’ve always got more stuff I want to read than time to read it. I’ve als...

I have no experiences with NaturalReader. But I have another suggestion. Voice Reader by www.linguatecapps.com (german company, with lot of additional voices via in-app purch.)
I have good experiences though I haven't used it in quite a while.

I was frustrated with the iCloud-based clipboard app that I was using so I wrote my own.

It uses Dropbox to sync clipboard contents, Keyboard Maestro to put things on Dropbox when a shortcut is pressed, and Hazel to put things on the OS X clipboard when new stuff arrives. On iOS it uses Launch Center Pro's Dropbox integration, and pretty much everything else that can put stuff on Dropbox, e.g. Drafts, Documents, etc.

Seen it. Doesn't have an iOS app though, and some other issues with the app. It doesn't allow to configure where to store clips (saves in Dropbox root). It's also a bit too ugly for my taste.

Also: where's the fun in using something created by other people? :D

Hi, I’m Andreas. I make screencasts. Mainly for Mac and iOS, but who knows which OS you need a screencast for?
Introduction

Hi, I’m Andreas. I make screencasts. This is my written version of Mac OS X Screencasts (MOSX).
MOSX is mainly about tutorials and reviews of OS X and iOS software in English and German. MOSX is also on Twitter. And I am, too.
