Wild panda populations might be rising, but there are concerns over increasingly fragmented habitats.

Started reading "Shotgun Lovesongs" by Nickolas Butler

"I was happy to find them there."

So what are you reading now and what's the first sentence at page 125?

Let's play this game :)

I'm reading these days a novel in Arabic by the Algerian novilest/writer 'Ahlam Mustaghanmi' the book is called 'فوضى الحواس.' "The chaos of senses"
"Since childhood I was a skinny girl with huge questions. Women around me were full with answers bigger than them"
"منذ الصغر كنت فتاة نحيلة بأسئلة كبيرة. و كانت النساء حولي ممتلئات بأجوبة فضفاضة"

I really hope these numbers are correct (+16,8% in ten years), I'm a bit in doubt after all those bad panda news recently.

"1.864 wild pandas, 372 in captivity (China), 45 in captivity (outside China)."

I see - well it's the same in Germany. Many people never use it and forget quickly what they learned.

without - snow chains only when there is heavy snow cover on the street or ice. Now snow is melting quickly and you can drive as in summer.

Heavy rain during my 90 minute walk this morning. Winter coming to an end even at 1000 m.o.s.?

Here is a video of social experiment where a Finnish guy blinds his eyes an stands arms open. Signs around him say "Muslim, I trust you. I am a white Finnish man. If you trust me. hug me."

See yourself what happened.

Read about this today "by accident",

Friendly service, English spoken - decent menu and fair prices. One of my Top 3 at Shuishe, Sun Moon Lake.

One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Special atmosphere and delicious self-made food. Ask for Giovanni's special recommendation. Not that many seats, so better reserve a table. As of January 2015 no longer open for lunch.

A true 5-star hotel. Watch out for special offers to make the stay more affordable. Perfect base to explore to magical Taroko Gorge. The staff of this hotel is truely awesome and help to find solutions if there are problems or if you need help with your train or bus connection.

Sehr solide Schwarzwälder Küche. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Freundliche, flinke Bedienung. Große Speisekarte, wo auch Vegetarier etwas finden. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen. Gerne wieder!

Little jewel for a very fair price just South of Södertälje. Very good food and great scenery. Rooms are great for a historical building, even if you can hear your neighbours pretty well.

For Norwegian dimensions a fast and effective train, for European standards a mostly decent, but quite expensive one ;) Make sure you catch the right train - other trains serving this route are slow and prone to delays.

Nice little café near Freiburg Teacher College in Littenweiler. They offer a la carte breakfast, cakes, coffee and tea variations plus some small daily lunch. We had an extended breakfast there, which was pretty good. The service was overmatched at times, but still acceptable. For breakfast (pictured) + coffee flatrate I paid € 10. First Sunday every month they offer brunch upon pre-reservation.
