What could a Tennessee vacation and Tai Chi possibly have in common? Both reminded me to "empty my cup."

I sometimes equate martial artists to superheroes...

The biggest lesson of all, and perhaps the most difficult...be true to you. There will always be negativity, people who criticize, and obstacles to overcome. As a martial artist, I recognize that each of us has different talents and techniques. No one else can live your life, so decide who you want to be, and stay true. Let nothing dissuade you from positivity or self-encouragement.

Keep on pushing through!

Help support me in my mission to make the world a better place through positivity and martial arts! Here, a book dedicated to overcoming obstacles, and also what it is like to be a woman in the martial arts for more than 25 years. Powerful and engaging, you will recognize that you have the power within to overcome and to be triumphant!

We are all part of one martial art family, but this set of "siblings" stands alone at times.

The question arises. Why? Is it fear of success? Is it just fear? Is it laziness and the desire to get something for nothing?

Something to ponder! My new blog post, Break The Mold!

I got to meet up with Don "the dragon" Wilson at the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida, for his new feel-good martial art movie, Paying Mr. McGetty. In fact, I met his brother and producer, James Wilson, as well, and most of the cast in the movie. It was a lot of fun, and the Wilsons are truly awesome people.
