During early August to late September, the West Coast landscape transforms from an arid desert to a colourful montage of flowers. Nothing quite as spectacular can be witnessed anywhere else in South Africa, making this area a sought-after destination for botanists, artists and travelers who enjoy the beauty of nature.

Flowers such as the Snow Protea, blue Lachanaea filamentosa, yellow Sparaxis and the Clanwilliam Cedar grow only in the Cedarberg and West Coast region, which makes the carpet of blooms that more special! From purple, blue and pink, to golden colours that remind you of the African sun, every moment will bring a photo opportunity.
