I do not want your newspaper app, thank you. Chrome on Android is more than capable enough of displaying your content nicely. I do not want your theme-park specific map app, why don't you get the data into Google Maps, which will at least let me look around reasonably? I do not want your store-specific app, I'll be loyal if and when you actually provide better service.
Every time you ask me to install an app to present your site, I think a little less of your company, a little more like you don't care enough about me as a customer to actually treat me like a human being, instead of eyeballs to be trapped.
