The 1700's and 1800's to meet my ancestors from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians who hid in the mountains when the government forced the tribe on "The Trail of Tears" to Oklahoma on pretty barren land that was their reservation for eternity. Many other tribes have reservations in Oklahoma as well. The Western Cherokee Nation does not have anything to do with the Eastern Nation. I come from (partially), two English men that married Cherokee Indian maidens, we're adopted by the tribe and eventually became chiefs of the tribe. Chief Redbird hado a river dedicated to his memory in Kentucky, the Red River.

+Sammy Stuka I just got this message today. That's G+ for you!! My biggest surprises were our involvement in the witch trials in 1692 and how many President's I am related to. I don't understand how those things were kept a secret. Neither my mother or grandparents ever talked about it. About 6 or 7 people were hanged in Salem on witchcraft charges, including 2-3 direct grandparents. Last year, I found out the one of the main accusers, the Putnams, were also my 9th grandparents. Talk about mixed emotions!
