How to use a “click to tweet” link in your blog posts

Sometimes I forget that we all need to learn from scratch... Just like +Lorraine Reguly had to put in a lot of time to figure out how to add a  "_click to tweet_" button to her posts when I could've given her an easy way to do it - if she knew to ask me.

So here we go:

1. ClickToTweet.com

You can go to http://clicktotweet.com/ and compose your tweet there, then copy and paste the link into your post.

However, it takes a few steps to get there, like shortening your link beforehand, etc.

2. HTML code

Here's a much easier way to do it; just copy this HTML code string into your HTML editor right where you want you "Tweet" button to show up.

<a class="twitter-share-button" href="https://twitter.com/share" data-url="http://YOURPOSTURL.COM" data-text="YOUR TWEET TEXT" data-via="YOUR TWITTER HANDLE" data-size="large">Tweet</a>

Everything that's in capitals needs to be replaced with your information, like:

-- YOURPOSTURL.COM - the link you want to be retweeted;
--YOUR TWEET TEXT - that's what the body of your tweet will be; make sure it's catchy and concise; remember the 140 character limit;
--YOUR TWITTER HANDLE - without @ signs.

This is what it looks like:
