We had a party of 11 people go to Amy's Baking Company. Yes, we had seen Kitchen Nightmares and were expecting something different than what we encountered. We like to form our OWN opinions so we decided to check it out. We were pleasantly seated by Samy, he waited on us, we never had to wait for water or refills and he was extremely nice. My friends and I got a little loud and started singing just for S**** and giggles. Samy looked at us and said, "yes, yes, our home is your home. SING!". We all began to sing.. It was fun and funny. The food began to flow out of the kitchen (not sure how long it took because we were not in a hurry nor should anyone be when they go to the sit down restaurant), the food was FABULOUS! The best lasagna EVER! The Gnocchi was great! Our pizza was fabulous and the hummus was GREAT (I don't even like hummus, lol). Amy came out of the kitchen after we were all served. She was SUPER nice, sweet and BEAUTIFUL! Our Party, Samy and Amy all took pics. I am DEFINETALY going back!

Went to Amy's Baking Company for dinner while vacationing in Scottsdale. The food and service were outstanding. I still can't get the chocolate cake dessert out of my mind, it was so good! We enjoyed our meal so much, we went back for lunch a couple of days later and the quality was every bit as good as the dinner. Amy and Samy are absolutely wonderful people. We tried to talk them into to moving to Texas and hope they consider it.

We were in town and decided to try this restaurant out of curiosity because we had seen the Kitchen Nightmares episode. We ended up having one of the best dining experiences ever. The food was out of this world. The appetizers, entrees, and the desserts were SO good. On top of the food being so good, Samy and Amy were incredibly nice. We enjoyed visiting with them so much. We had such a good time that we decided to go back a second time before we left town. We had another spectacular experience. They are a beautiful couple and they serve some of the best food we have ever had. It make me sad and angry all the bad reviews that get written about them. If you are ever in Scottsdale, go to this restaurant.. you won't regret it!!!

I have never been there but i do not like them covering peoples eyes with wool everyone who reads this look at the 5 star reviews they all look fake just because the owner can't handle it. DON'T GO A PLACE WHERE THEY SET UP FAKE REVIEWS. i have heard the cakes are amazing but everything else is sloppy and lazy. The owner gets angry when people send bad reviews and that is the worst quality about it if the owners see this read all the bad reviews and think about what you send out of the kitchen. Do you not find it strange that there is four five star reviews in a row and below that there is about twenty one star reviews open your eyes every one.

I don't know which "Amy's Baking Company" the 4 and 5 star "reviewers" went to (assuming that they're not the owners' sock puppets) but the one I went to for a visit to Scottsdale was the one I went to and it was actually worse than when it aired nearly 2 years ago. I checked with one of the staff about the dessert that was the only good thing and it was confirmed that they were all imported. That can't be too surprising after finding out that the rest of the food was poorly cooked and tasteless. It took 1 hour to get anything. Lucky I only paid in cash and refused to pay for anything other than the dessert. I got kicked out and told never to come back which I won't anyway. I'm surprised that this restaurant is still open but I wouldn't be surprised if it has crony connections to the AZ pols. Any restaurant owner that does this bad and goes ugly on air normally goes out of business. Sad to say that this is yet another example of CRONY CAPITALISM.

I've seen Kitchen Nightmares, but I wanted to experience this place for myself. I went in with my brother and fiancée for dessert. Sam treated us exceptionally well and literally went above and beyond to ensure our happiness. We got the key lime pie and a chocolate cake. My brother loved the chocolate cake and the key lime pie was the best any of us had ever eaten. I can't say anything about the food, but Amy really knows what she is doing when it comes to dessert! Judge them for yourselves, don't let the low ratings fool you!

Went there for dessert with a friend on Valentine's day. We shared one of the best desserts we ever had and found it to satisfy the sweet tooth we built up after our exercise. The owners are actually really nice people and they work very hard all day long and Amy said how she goes to bed at 4 am. Say what you will about Amy and Sammy, but I actually got along with them really well. They have a lot of stress, but they're nice once you get to know them. I actually think this a really good dessert place to go to after a movie.

If I could rate this restaurant a negative star, I would. These are the worst business owners ever. If you complain about anything, they will start ranting and raving and swearing. These are probably the most unprofessional business owners ever. If you want entertainment, go eat there, but be prepared for abuse. They will call you the worst words. P.S. the food is awful.

The baked goods are probably the only reason anyone would come to this place - I have no clue why they serve pizzas and the like. If she just stuck to selling pastries, she'd be golden - at least in terms of sales. The regular food isn't all that well-prepared and most, if not all, is store-bought frozen food. Granted, even frozen food can be made to taste good if you put real effort into it, but they don't even have that going for them - it's all rather disgusting, plus the combinations of ingredients can be pretty weird at times. Like I said, the desserts are the only redeeming quality - and it's called a Baking company, so why is it serving a menu as if it's a full restaurant? If Amy and Samy read this, just dump the regular food and stick to making the pastries - if nothing else, you'd at least stop getting complaints about how bad the rest of the food is, and if customer ratings for the pizzas and such aren't improving then just focus on the things that DO have a positive response - again, the desserts. However, even then, it might not be enough to salvage the reputation of being a terror to the customers - I've heard people getting thrown out of there amid a storm of curses way too often to think that it's just mere misunderstandings. Hell, just recently there was a news report in September about the husband, Samy, threatening a guy - and apparently, with a knife. They say it was a pen, but frankly, I don't care if it really was a pen or a knife or whatever, because the point was that the threatened someone while wielding an object, and it only gives them a worse rep then they already have. The staff seem nice, though they have the habit of being fired or quitting comparatively quicker then any other business I know of, and if even half of the stories I hear about what they experienced from Amy and Samy are true, then in my opinion, each and every one of those people should be nominated for sainthood. All in all, if you HAVE to go here with the intent of purchasing something, get a pastry. If you're not there for that, then don't bother getting anything to eat here - though you can stick around to watch and see if they're really as crazy as they say. I guarantee you'll at least get a laugh out of that.
