Amy is a contemporary artist who paints a meaningful memory or object for the collector from a new perspective.
Using acrylic paints as her medium, she is passionate about seeing the world up close from an different angle or with unexpected colors. A simple shift in perspective changes the way you see the world and how you feel.
And the colors! She loves a vivid, lush palette with bold brush strokes. Lots of texture with whimsical shapes and bits of origami collage keep things interesting.
To support her art business and help her family, Amy has two websites that are completely different but encompass a single, major part of her life: Parenthood.
First is The Leaping Lamp
- a Pixar movies fan page. She rediscovered the magic of Pixar films once her son was big enough to enjoy these well-made classics. What little kid hasn't seen Cars or Toy Story?
And then there's Stroller Envy
- a website she created to help new and expectant mothers find the best stroller for their babies. Amy was so pleased with her stroller when Aidan was little that she wanted to help other moms have a similar experience.
