I like Poncho Luna's take on art.  (From Silicon Valley Contemporary Art Fair - April 2014)

Always fascinated by how advertising morphs - Pepsi, in addition to inking mega deal with Beyonce, is creating, "platform to support multiple country-specific Pepsi musical artists."  To me that means a new kind of social interaction with artists and corporate patronage.  Maybe some of my friends with marketing minds have other takes?

We all know Britney Spears has had her share of body changes - but her trainer during the 2011 tour says she worked out like a pro athlete. No wonder she looks so great these days.

JFK Jr's monogrammed diaper pin, Roosevelt's rocking chair, shotgun shells imprinted from Richard Nixon - interesting stuff goes on the auction block when it's White House memorabilia

The success of Hello Kitty might not make sense to everyone, but to the faithful, it's a glorious adventure of fun, friendships and love
In celebration of Hello Kitty's 40th birthday, Los Angeles is hosting the world's first Hello Kitty Con and offers plenty of merchendise, exhibits and interactions that any fa...

I thoroughly enjoyed SubZERO Festival 2013 in Silicon Valley this week.  Some of my pics are here in the Examiner articles. A few  more are on my Facebook page.

Gotta love this - and she's doing personal appearances too. Think they'll invite her to the debates?  #HelloKitty2012

I posted this story yesterday on Examiner, and am still really intrigued by it - what do you suppose this skydiver thought about for 15 minutes, coming to Earth from 18-miles up at 536 mph? (and why do you suppose this headline appears twice? any hints from plus users out there?)
The Red Bull Stratos project hit a new high on July 25, 2012, as pilot Felix Baumgartner stepped out of a capsule 18 miles above ground and skydived his way bac

Tasty food ( I especially loved the done- just-right french fries) and friendly service make this a good choice for lunch in Santa Cruz away from the crowds at the Boardwalk. Easy parking. Good selection of beers and wines.

Lovely menu, good assortment of daily additions to the menu, and very good service. Half-price wine (bottle) on Wednesdays and a nice selection of wine by the glass. They have a 3 - course fixed price dinner menu which is especially appealing.

Wow, wow, wow. It's pricey but everything is done so well that the price is certainly justified. Exceptionally interesting and a treat for the eyes as well as the mind. Beautifully thought-through in every way.

Good service and appealing menu but food was mixed. My companion's salad was ok but nothing special. My fish, the daily dpecial, was tasty and well-prepared but oyster mushrooms that topped it were over - cooked and charred. The vegetables were mediocre.

Very good location for exploring Carmel-By-The-Sea. An easy walk to galleries, restaurants, shops and the ocean. Good wifi, nice staff, comfortable beds and well maintained property.
