I was born there and now I live in Atlanta.  Its funny though I see a parallel with the idea.

Baltimore has become my hometown, here's a pretty good reason why.

This is a hidden gem in Baltimore. We went there for an afternoon of bowling on a Sunday and were delighted to find this place. Four of us traded in our shoes, grabbed some balls, and bowled! This isn't your average bowling alley and the prices will confirm that. Bowling is $45/hr, so be prepared to dish out some moola. The place is on the second floor and is the swankiest bowling alley I have ever been in. There is great beer and drinks, and some awesome food. This is a great place to go even if you just want a burger. The servers were great, making sure to check on us regularly. The drawbacks are: parking and price The positives are: friendly people, great food and unique bowling experience. They also have duckpin bowling if that is something you want to do. Go and enjoy!

This is a great place to see some of Maryland's racing history. Take a tour of the barns, see the old track and the new ones! See some of the horses that are there, and get a feel for how much this niche industry has been a a part of Maryland for a very long time. They have events throughout the year for the public, be sure to take the trip down there if you can - it's not far from the city. Everyone there is awesome and invested in making this place a world class horse farm!

Awful, awful, awful. I have a few awful experiences with this company. One time a driver stood in my yard and yelled at me because my yard wasn't clear enough for him. Then recently, the same driver said he 'couldn't get where he needed to be' and skipped my house altogether, even though regular cars could through the snow. Then the company gave me the round around on the phone, said they would call me back, never did, then hung up on me when I demanded that they fix the situation. The woman on the phone had a terrible attitude, and was awful. They took my money fast enough. Avoid this place. Avoid.

I can't give this hotel anything but five stars. Every February I go to a conference that is hosted in this hotel. We take over the whole thing, selling out every room (plus other floors in nearby hotels), and the staff work their ass off for us, every time. The bar is always three deep, and the bartenders hustle to get food and drinks to everyone (looking at you Tony!). The lobby is spacious enough for all of us to move about and socialize. There are plenty of rooms for all kinds of events/classes/ and meeting. The rooms are nice and spacious, clean and well-lit, check-in and out is easy and fast, and everyone makes the effort to make you feel welcome. It is close to the capital building and everything DC has to offer. Charging for wi-fi is not cool, not cool at all and that is one star off. Otherwise, great place. In the middle of remodel and what I have seen so far is awesome!

Avoid this place. I used to have great experiences at Dental One, but when I moved to Baltimore it went downhill quickly. They constantly mess up claims, and then aren't flexible in scheduling ortho appointments, even if you offer to drive somewhere else. It's a mess, if you can avoid - do so. Run, do not walk, away from this business!

This is THE place to take visitors and to spend a day with the kids. I am not an 'aquarium' kind of person, but this place is just amazing. Visiting takes a little planning, but it is well worth it. You may think it is pricey, but balanced with all the conservation work they do, you can feel good about the dollars they spend. It's always great to learn something while you are having fun, and this is the perfect combination of both. Spend the extra money and see the dolphin show, don't stop going up until you hit the rain forest exhibit, and along the way see every type of aquatic habitat and fish, turtle, reptile, and even some cute puffins. Love this place!

I love, love, love this hotel. It's just awesome! I have stayed here twice, and each time I walk away knowing that the reason my time in DC was so fantastic was because I got to stay here. As soon as we pull up, someone is there to take our car and get our luggage out. They check us in quickly, and point out the concierge and restaurant. But the rooms! They are luxurious, clean, well-lit, with easy to find temperature controls, and space to sleep, work, and relax! One sticking point - Internet should be included in room rate. Period. Bring a hot spot, or prepare to pay $10 a day. If that's not a sticking point with you, then stay here. It's the best one in the three block radius, and the people and rooms are awesome. My friend used the gym and said it was great! Can't say anything about the rooftop pool since it was February. :) Check-out went very well, and we were on our way on time. It is so close to the Capital Building! It gives a great DC Feel to it.
