Tough time reading this on a mobile device? See it on our mobile-friendly blog. When I think of "FREE," I get flashes of angry Black Friday mobs and that inevitable "Sorry, we're all out," message. The internet is full of freebies. Some offers seem more like scams, while others are legitimately g...

STILL searching for #colorful  #kitchen #decor. Definitely not looking for this sage- and rust-colored stuff. Give me bright orange, lime green, and yellow! Any favorite online stores?

Introduction
I live for Twitter feeds, "going live" and meeting new clients. :)

I've over 8 years of business management and marketing experience. My specialties are strategic marketing, social media management, customer service training, branding and identity, graphic design, web hosting and design, and analytics.

For 4 years, I've run a small operation called Kapeesh (site, social media, and portfolio links in About section). It is my passion because through Kapeesh, I will help breathe life back into my community by helping young entrepreneurs and military members learn all they can about running a successful business. I work with Marine Corps Infantry veterans through a special part of my services called the 03XX Program http://bit.ly/03XXprog. As a Marine wife, USMC vets have a special place in my heart. I believe we can have a huge impact on depression, suicide, and drug and alcohol dependence rates among these vets by empowering them through entrepreneurship.

If I don't interest you, please take some time to show your support for USMC vets by liking the 03XX Foundation's Facebook page: http://www.fb.com/03XXFoundation

Jimmy Huey and his team at Mr. Tire Auto Service Center in Bay City are exceptional. Their new shop is spacious, clean, and easy to find right off Hwy 60. Any interaction I've had with service technicians has been polite and professional. The team is knowledgeable and very willing to help answer any questions about services and product warranties. I would absolutely recommend this tire shop and automotive service center to anyone in the area. Let them know Amy sent you!

The owners of Lamco RV Park genuinely care about offering the best RV Park stay in Wharton County and beyond. Since I’ve worked with Lamco RV Park in El Campo, TX, Melvin and Lorraine have worked tirelessly to expand and upgrade their facilities. They take guest suggestions to heart. The spacious recreation room has served as a meeting location many times, and the free wi-fi access throughout the park is very convenient. I would recommend Lamco RV Park to anyone traveling through Texas along US Hwy 59 or exploring the Texas Gulf Coast. Let them know Amy sent you!

The Vapor House of Houston owners/staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. My husband was new to e-cigarettes, and I had a lot of questions when buying his gift. I felt good about my purchase, and the free shipping option got me a packaged delivered the very next day! I recommend Vapor House products to anyone in the market!

Having lived in the Texas valley and visiting the Texas/Mexico border often, I can vouch for Tio Chuchos' Mexican food. It's delicious and priced right. My husband and I are regulars, and there's always a new surprise for us. On a recent and particularly cold day, we were given complimentary bean soup before our meal. That's just one example of the staff's hospitality. You can tell the place is ran by family, and you feel like part of the family when you're there as well.

We brought our 2014 Explorer in for service at Quick Lane at Legacy Ford on a Saturday morning at our appointment time. We expected to settle in for a long wait, since this was our 30k-mile service. We were in and out within the hour, and our request to leave the windshield washer fluid low/un-filled was respected. It's easy for lube techs to rush through the topping-off of fluids, but because we use a specialty fluid, we hoped the team would mind our wishes. No more doubting these guys - we were thoroughly pleased with the service!

We worked with Paul Diamanti at Sterling McCall Ford, and our experience was nothing short of excellent. Paul got us an unbeatable deal on a shiny new Ford Explorer, and I can't say enough good things about the dealership, the staff, and the process. We shopped around the Ford dealerships in Houston, and no one could touch the pricing. Not only that, but no salesmen were as helpful or knowledgeable as Paul. I'm looking forward to my first service, when they'll shuttle me to the Galleria if the appointment will take over 20 minutes. I'd recommend anyone looking for a new or used vehicle to reach out to Sterling McCall Ford. I was impressed with their entire team.

I am very surprised at all of the positive reviews I read here. Maybe my husband and I should wait until we've got toddlers to try this place again. Since we've lived in Jersey Village, we have tried Backyard Grill 4 times. Our first trip, the burgers were great. We joined the Backyard Brew Crew, and my husband finished a burger and got his photo on the wall. The service that night was terrible. We had 3 different servers, because we kept having to call someone new after being ignored for so long. The atmosphere was fun, and we figured we'd try again for stellar service another night. No such luck. The 2nd and 3rd times were much worse. After being seated, we were seemingly ignored. My husband had to reach out to the nearest server to order drinks, and the same for our meals. Both times, we called the manager over and complained. We were given apologies, and promised it wouldn't happen again. The 3rd trip, the manager actually took over our server's responsibilities. We vowed to never return for food again. The fourth trip was for a weekend husband/wife outing. We planned on sitting in the bar area and having an appetizer while we dominated the Brew Crew card. ;) It was a Saturday night, and they have a full bar, so we thought we had made a good decision. WRONG. We found out after being seated that the entire restaurant (bar included) closes at 10pm. I understand that there is a sign on the door, be we didn't look and assumed that a bar on Saturday night would be open late enough to sit and have a few. We ended up taking off to Buffalo Wild Wings and had an epic time. Overall, the service has been absolutely horrible every time we've been. Many of the positive comments I see are about the children's area and atmosphere. It does have an great kid area and a huge tree in the middle of the restaurant, which is cool. We've talked to managers, but nothing has seemed to help our terrible luck at this place. We avoid it at all costs.
