Nice article Amy. Part of it reminds me of one I read a few years ago (http://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/200609/carbon.asp) where an urban apartment dweller tries to cut his carbon footprint to global average, and then to what is truly "sustainable." It also show that we can do a lot, but getting where we ultimately need to be requires bigger solutions and government leadership.
