Yesterday's hike was amazing! We hiked from the Tennessee Valley trailhead to the coastal trail. Then, stopped off at the Pelican Inn for brunch. And, hiked back via Green Gulch to Fox Head trail.
All in all a beautiful 6-10 mile hike. Unsure of the actual distance since we took an unplanned route back.

Ever since I started at +Concur, I've been wondering what to do with all of my paper receipts from my business trips. I think I finally found a solution. Time for my receipts to take flight!

YIKES. This is very NSFW and US Airways is looking into what happened exactly.

OK true I'm not personally worried about tweeting porn. But it seems like every month or two some CM that I follow posts a horror story about something that someone in the industry messed up, and I just don't ever want to be That Guy.

Even Warren Buffett is looking at the competition services like AirBnB can offer, especially when hotels behave badly. http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/04/08/buffett-will-steer-investors-to-airbnb-to-avoid-price-gouging-by-omaha-hotels/

It's an unexpected oasis. Down Soi 1, past the big hosipal, lies this lil' resort. It's location is close to everything and yet far enough away to be "away-from-it-all", The staff is incredible too.

Can't recommend this place enough. It's a lovely eco-travel resort right along the river. The accommodations are wonderful, the staff is friendly and the location is perfect. Set next to an elephant camp right along the river, you can ride the elephants, play with them during bath time, or take a dip in the cool river anytime. The Chai Lai is more than just an average resort - it's built to help refugees and at risk women, especially women who could easily get roped into human trafficking. The staff are all volunteers, at risk women or men from the local hill tribes. The owner, Alexa, works with the staff to not only train them with the skills they need to be independent, but she helps to empower them. An act of kindness that is truly admired. I felt at home here within the first hour of arriving. If you are looking for a relaxing or even adventurous vacation where you can also help make a differnece, this is the place for you.

This used to be my favorite place. However, I have had multiple issues with my last purchase. The staff recommended that I pick a certain frame. I have a very high prescription, but they were highly confident that my lenses would work in that frame. I'm in round 3 of getting the lenses redone and still they are not right. Asking for my money back and taking my business somewhere else. I give their selection a 5. Their doctor's a 5. But, I would like to give their staff a -5 just because I trusted their opinion and it was very, very, very wrong. Please note, I have over 5 pairs from them, and this is the first one they have messed up on. But, boy did they mess up. Old review: I find my favorite selection of glasses here, everything from hip to classic styles. All of the staff are incredibly helpful to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for in your frames. Can't find it? They will keep an eye out for a particular style and call you when it comes in the store.

I tend to go here a ton for lunch when I'm in Bellevue. They make huge yummy salads that are perfect when you don't eat glutton and are starving! Sometimes the wait staff can take a long time, so allow 90 minutes for lunch.

The menu is so extensive, I had a hard time knowing where to begin. Delicious, fresh cocktails, a beautiful setting, friendly staff and wonderful flavors - what more could you ask for?

Connected to the Hyatt in downtown Bellevue, this place is great. They make fresh appetizers and wonderful cocktails. Make sure to get a side of their brussels sprouts - they are crispy and sweet. I would rate them a 5, but some main fish dishes can be overcooked.

Relaxed off the tourists' trap type of place. One of the best bakeries on the island. Make sure to also pick up their made in house granola for home - delish!
