A a mom to a 7-year old and 2-year old it’s important to surround my family with “nourishing” activities. We read books about food and where it comes from, we garden, we volunteer at our local farmer’s market, we participate in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, we go to farms and pick our own, we cook together, we spend lots of time outdoors, and we have family dinners 5-6 nights per week.
As a working mom I don’t always get it right but I like to think I have my priorities figured out. Most days my work life balance is off kilter but I always try my best to keep my family well “nourished.”
