My toughest job is story time. Because the wrong person falls asleep: me.
If I'd known that reading kids' stories out loud would knock me out so efficiently, I would have done it years ago when I used to have trouble sleeping

Brushing hair is definitely at the top of my list. All 3 of mine have tight curls = tight knots which need to be taken out every morning before school - lots of conditioner required and screaming is a norm in our home every morning  - the neighbours must wonder what on earth is going on!

Mom blogger with tips and advice for engaging children in nourishing experiences especially around food and nature
Introduction

Join me and other working parents in our conversations about the daily challenge to succeed both professionally and personally.

A a mom to a 7-year old and 2-year old it’s important to surround my family with “nourishing” activities. We read books about food and where it comes from, we garden, we volunteer at our local farmer’s market, we participate in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, we go to farms and pick our own, we cook together, we spend lots of time outdoors, and we have family dinners 5-6 nights per week.

As a working mom I don’t always get it right but I like to think I have my priorities figured out. Most days my work life balance is off kilter but I always try my best to keep my family well “nourished.”

Bragging rights
Mom of 2 beautiful children, full-time job, blogger and lover of nature and health!
