The flavor text, tho'. LOL.

If you can't see it, it reads: "Of these four forces, there's one we don't really understand." "Is it the weak force or the strong--" "It's gravity."

Very interesting!

Did you know that men and women adapt differently to spaceflight? Find out how: http://1.usa.gov/1qQ20WO

Here's my sketch dump, if anyone was interested.
I've been practicing ponies. I keep drawing fetlocks joints and it looks weird. Bleh.  If you can figure out which Marvel character I ponified you get a virtual cupcake.

Hi! Is it OK if I post requests for anyone who wants to draw my family as ponies? I'm not very good at drawing ponies. I've been practicing but I'm still too embarrassed by my scribbles.

A male zebra with a stylized atom cutie mark.
A female unicorn with a clover blossom cutie mark, some color combination of greens and cream.
Their toddler aged colt.

If you get the urge to draw one or more of these ponies, have fun and please let me see it. :)

I was playing around in Deviant Art's drawing tool and doodled Marvel Comic's Death as a pony. I'm not 100% thrilled with the design, but it is a pony.
Made with DeviantArt muro I'm playing around with what Death (from Marvel Comics) would look like as a pony. I don't think I like this one. Maybe the next doodle I make I'll do bat wings instead of...

Don't pet dogs with yellow on their leashes or collars. Here is an article with more info.

I would like some constructive criticism please. I'm trying to do the FiM style but may have to go with something not quite it.

How do you keep the hooves from looking dumb? I keep trying to draw the joints and it is driving me bonkers.

I decided to step away from the serious books that shaped a country and today I chose the most frequently challenged book from the aughts. That is from the years 2000 through 2009. The Harry Potter series was the most challenged. Banned Books Week didn't have any fun information on why they were banned. So sorry, no cute little paragraph from them today.

Fact Monster (http://www.factmonster.com) Did have this to say "Probably the most famous books banned in recent years were the Harry Potter and Twilight series. The reason given for censoring the phenomenally popular and seemingly harmless novels was that they promoted "unchristian magic."

I like how the phrasing suggests that there is Christian magic somewhere and it is allowable. It really tickles me since the Christians I have met that are scared of magic being real believe all magic is Satanic.

I haven't actually read Twilight but from what I've heard it sounds like someone wrote a terrible fanfiction and then somehow convinced a publisher to pay them money for it. Even though I think it is useless trash, I would never promote banning it. Banning and burning books is wrong. Censorship is wrong. My parents let me read Jurassic Park when I was five, and if Ollie wants to read something above his grade then we will read it together and talk about it.

Anyways, I didn't mean to talk about the Twilight series, sorry about the tangent there. I read Harry Potter at the behest of some high school friends and I stayed up all night to finish it. I thought it was a bit contrived at how terrible Harry's home life was, but it was so fun to hate his family. It was an entertaining, exciting read. If you have somehow never read this famous series then you must put it on your "to read" list.

We started going to this clinic a year ago when we moved to the Garland area. I haven't had any problems with the vet techs being rude, but they are usually very busy and rushed when at the counter. The vet techs have always been courteous to me, and when I bring my dog or cats in they have always been polite and explain what they are doing in the exam rooms. The exam rooms have always been clean and well maintained when my husband and I have brought our pets in. There have been times when I've called in with questions about the special diet my cat is on and I've always been called back by either the Dr. directly or one of the vet techs with answers within a few hours, always before the end of the business day. We have also both been impressed with the Dr.'s bedside manner and her willingness to discuss our concerns and explain treatment options. As I mentioned before the clinic is very busy, there is usually some amount of waiting to pick up prescriptions and for a room. Overall I feel the vet techs and doctor are competent and would recommend this vet for anyone in the area.
