Using art to create balance in a room: in this case, the chandelier could not easily be moved (wired into cement ceiling above), which dictated that the dining room table had to be on one side of the room.  Because we needed to keep the rental furniture budget down, I added a large piece of canvas art instead on the near wall.

So 96% of agents now believe staging helps sell homes to at least some degree! Hooray, it’s about time! Maybe that’s why I find so many more agents inquiring about staging in the last 2 years!

Home Staging Can Help Sell Home for More, Realtors® Say
Most homeowners know it is important to keep a home clean, bright and free from clutter while it is on the market for sale. But sometimes, Realtors® say, taking the extra step to stage a home can make a difference in how a buyer values it and the price a seller might get for it, according to the National Association of Realtors® 2015 Profile of Home Staging. http://bit.ly/1K3VEhe

According to this article from Realtor.org, staging raises the PERCEIVED value of a home by an average of 10% -- think what a difference that would make to anyone selling a home in terms of a higher selling price!

He looked so much better and healthier (and generally more handsome) on Downton Abbey. Gain back some weight ASAP, Dan -- I really miss you on DA, as do SO many others.

Staging is a critical part of ANY home’s marketing plan! My average DOM to contract last year was 33 and selling price to list price was 95% :)

Stage like a Pro: 3 Ways to set your Home up to sell.

Selling your home is all about grabbing the attention of home Buyers. How can you grab the attention of a home Buyer, you ask? There are a number of ways to draw a Buyer in, for them to want to see more, to want to know more, to want to consider your home, as being perfect for them and/or their family”.

In my article, I go over 3 Ways to stage a home, setting a home Seller up for success. First, it starts by allowing prospective home Buyers to imagine themselves living in the Seller’s home. It begins by depersonalizing the space within a home.

Keep reading below to find out my other recommendations to uncover the other 2 ways to set up a home to sell. And the home staging resource doesn’t stop with me, as I’ve included other Real Estate professional tips from many of my favorite Real Estate bloggers: +Karen Highland +HouseHunt +Andrew Fortune +Bill Gassett +houzz +Anita Clark and +Kyle Hiscock

Last but not least, you’ll also enjoy some quotes from some of the best home stagers here on Google+ and Social Media on how to use home staging to help sell your home: +Red Barrinuevo +Lorrie White +Maureen Bray and +Kathy Streib

Good advice -- love the clear glass vase with the ferns that looks more like a terrarium!
Faux, fake or silk plants and floral is fine in your home decorating IF you use it sparingly and they are displayed to look as if the real thing.  The whole point of silk is that it looks realistic and doesn't require waterin...

This study by the National Association of Realtors confirms that 96% of agents believe staging has a (positive) impact on either most buyers (49% of agents) or some buyers (another 47% of agents)!
This report gives the results of a survey of REALTORS® on the effectiveness of home staging.

Love this old tv cabinet turned into a dog house! Talk about repurposing!
Can you believe it’s the middle of July already?  This summer is already flying by! I’m loving that the unnamed child is home during the days and can be my slave cheap labor.   Although, I don’t think she is nearly as excited about this arrangement as I am… Summer also means yard sales galore! …

What a sad, beautiful, and moving story, Julea.  I just lost my mom 2 weeks ago but started my business after going through cancer 5 years ago -- THAT difficult time was what pushed me to make a business out of what had been a passion since I was a child. I feel the same way you do -- every day is an adventure and I am never bored (unless I’m not busy, which is more and more rare these days!).

Meeting your design needs on-time and on-budget!
Introduction
Home stager based in Montville, NJ, working primarily in Bergen County, Hudson County, Passaic County, and Morris County, NJ, since January, 2010. I love to make your home stand out from the competition and create that emotional connection with buyers! My goal is always to get you multiple offers quickly on your home by creating a compelling lifestyle that appeals to your target market of buyers, determined by talking with your agent (when you have one), and looking at the size and location of your home as well as its price point and community amenities. I also do "staging to live" redesign for your current home. Do you feel something isn't right in your environment but you can't figure out exactly what? Do you want more comfort, style, or  pizazz in your home? By bringing my knowledge of current trends, styles, and colors, and furniture and accessory placement to your home and marrying those aspects with YOUR personal taste, I can help you love your home again -- or maybe even for the first time!

Bragging rights
