Back in 2003, Bill Thompson and Holland Hopson played at AMODA's first ever Performance event. Since then, both have moved away from Austin. But tomorrow night, they'll be back at the same venue (along with a killer line-up of other local experimental musicians) for our next Performance. Don't miss it! http://amoda.org/

Concerned about the rain for tonight's show? Don't be! Mohawk has many tents and covered areas. Also, the indoor spaces are nice and cozy. So, the show will definitely go on! More info at http://amoda.org/

For its next Performance, AMODA is excited to present Tim Hecker in his first ever Austin appearance. Over the past decade, Tim has consistently been among the world's most critically acclaimed experimental electronic musicians. His work explores the intersection of noise, dissonance and melody, fostering an approach to songcraft that is both physical and emotive. Opening the show is local composer Cory Allen, renowned for his daring sonic textures and captivating performances. More info at: http://amoda.org/

AMODA's next event features two former Austin composers: Bill Thompson (now based in the UK) and Holland Hopson (now based in Alabama). With Thompson wielding bent electronics, and Hopson on circuit-tricked banjo, expect the unexpected! In addition to solo sets by both musicians, the two will perform as part of Gates Ensemble - a rare opportunity to hear the original lineup of this Austin outfit. Austin's own synth wizard Rick Reed opens the show. More info at http://amoda.org

AMODA's next event is this Saturday! It will be a Performance featuring experimental pieces for percussion and electronics by John Cage, Sam Pluta, and Anders Vinjar. These pieces will be performed by the excellent local percussion ensemble Line Upon Line (along with Sam Pluta from NYC). It should be an amazing show with daring compositions, video projections, and highly unique use of percussion.
