Berlin - East Side Gallery - May 2015
I've just returned from a wonderful two-week trip to Berlin to visit a friend of mine who I originally met on the train from Amsterdam to Berlin - 21 years ago to the month. I hadn't been back to Berlin in all of that time, so I decided it was time. It was ...

Berlin - Black & White Candids - May 2015
As I continue to sort through the photographs, videos and musings from the trip, the following photographs struck me as needing to be in black & white.

Racism is breaking my white, American, Christian heart.
What I am about to say is not a request for advice or for anyone to tell me how to cope with my feelings nor to give me suggestions about what I should be thinking about instead, but is an expression of my breaking heart. My heart is breaking for the contin...

Google Maps Business View and Food Photography - Celtic Crossing Memphis
Celtic Crossing is another of those local businesses that I've been frequenting for years. They have a great pint night on Monday nights, trivia on Wednesday nights, and a great patio, selection of beers and yummy pub food every night! There is a reason the...

Google Maps Business View and Food Photography - Next Door
I'd eaten at Sweet Grass before, and loved their Shrimp 'n Grits, but I'd never spent any time Next Door. Between the delicious food available, and the friendliness of the staff and customers, I fully intend to hang out there going forward. They have Memphi...

When Proposition 1 passed here in TN, my anger was ignited by the hypocrisy. The politicians writing these propositions that make abortion a political issue are not interested in saving babies, they are purely interested in subjugating women. They want to silence us, and keep us from encroaching on their power and privilege. There is a war on women in U.S. politics. They fear our womanly wiles and the danger we might pose against their elitist power so they divide us (by pitting women against each other and our own best interest) and conquer (by creating laws that impede us from making choices that affect our entire lives).
