If we're going to call ourselves Christians, shouldn't we live as Christ lived? Come along with me as I explore what it means to live in the same pattern as Jesus lived in today's America: http://jaycarper.com/subscribe

Biblical leprosy (tzaraat) is a metaphor for sin. Some sin is visible, but not deep, while other sin goes all the way down to the bone/heart.

The cleansing of a leper involves blood, wood, scarlet, water, & hyssop. Where else do we see these? In the plagues of Egypt & the death of Yeshua. This isn't a coincidence.

We are not set free and given eternal life just to sin, but rather to obey a different master. Continuing in sin will only put us in bondage again because sin separates us from our Creator. Rom 6:20-23

God's Law is just & right, no matter how much you dislike its precepts.

Everything contrary to God's Law is false, wicked, & worthless, no matter how much you love it.

Psalm 119:121-128

The biblical treatment of a leper who is healed is much like that of a backslider who repents. Expulsion > Repentance > Quarantine > Restoration.

Would you be wiser than your enemies, and even than all of the ancient sages? Then study God's Law. Meditate on his instructions day & night.

Leprosy in Torah (tzaraat) might not have been a bio disease at all. What we call "leprosy" today is Hansen's Disease with different symptoms. Tzaraat probably spans a range of pathologies & is both physical & spiritual. Leviticus 13-15

Acts 15 says some Jews were teaching that gentile converts must be circumcised to be saved. They were wrong because they weren't teaching in accordance with Torah. They were teaching AGAINST Torah.
