Ride in style (and with the environment in mind) with the Rolls-Royce plug-in. Don't hold your breath though, it probably won't hit the market for another three years. http://bit.ly/1sQVjEq

The French are known for exceptional wine and cheese, but soon they may be known for exceptional grid design as well! See how they plan to fit solar into their energy future: http://bit.ly/1mkS4mH.
On a sunny winter day in Nice, France, 40 journalists from all over the world boarded busses to tour what serves as one possible example of a future networked electricity grid. Alstom Energy, the 9th largest electrical equipment supplier in the world, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, had p

Ameco installed solar on my house about 5 years ago. Since that time my power bills have been small and nearly exactly as projected by Pat Redgate the owner. Pat was the first solar installer to balance the cost of the solar electricity produced with the cost of purchased electricity and didn't sell me more capacity than i needed. Other companies wanted to sell me panels to reduce my bills to 0 or sell electricity back to the Edison. Pat pointed out that it was cheaper to buy the first tier of energy from Edison (which is very inexpensive) and not try to replace it with solar. He was right and I am very near break even in less years than I would have projected. His installation was well done and problem free. He was experienced and able to deal with a very detail oriented building department and get my project approved without any delays. I did have an issue with a faulty inverted about a year after I purchased the system and they repaired it promptly at no charge. There have been no equipment issues since. This year I saved almost $3000 in energy costs. I would highly recommend Ameco.

I have had two lovely experiences with Ameco Solar. First, I had them install solar panels about 9 years ago. The actual installation was effortless on my part. The workers were professional and friendly. They left the work site (my roof and yard) spotlessly clean. The sales rep stayed involved the whole time and gave me excellent advice on my roof, even helping me talk to the various roofers I interviewed. They did a follow up to make sure I was completely satisfied. I plan on getting a plug in hybrid and wanted to add solar panels. I called Ameco last year. The same sales rep still works for Ameco as I used 8 years previously. I think that says something about the company that the employees want to stay and work for the company. The same project/financial manager was still employed. Again, the installation was effortless on my part. the work was completed in two days. The company worked with the City of Santa Monica (and some people consider the City of Santa Monica a bit 'picky') to make sure I had the correct permits and the city sign off on the permits. I also want to say that the finances were explained to me in detail. Nine years ago, I used an independent contractor to compare the Solar systems, the cost and wattage output and cost savings among five different companies. Ameco had the biggest return on investment, and the shortest pay back period. The solar systems I have installed have saved me more money then I thought they would. I am totally happy with the system, with Ameco and with helping the environment.

Great experience! We looked at several companies and this is the only one that sent an engineer that knew what he was talking about. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us through the entire project. If you are thinking of solar, these guys need to be on the list.

I had Ameco Solar install a 7kW photovoltaic system on my house in 2013. They were efficient and helpful in building the system to my requested specifications. When the 3rd party monitoring site failed to work, and the 3rd party stopped attempting to resolve the issue (even after acknowledging it was a problem on their end), Ameco took over and resolved the problem for me by switching me to a different tracking system (including hardware).
