Did you know that 1 in 5 children suffers from canker sores? Though the cause is often unclear, these usually subside in less than 2 weeks. To make them less painful while they heal, avoid spicy and acidic foods and be sure to brush for at least 2 minutes twice a day. #DentalFAQ

Minor tooth sensitivities are usually caused by microscopic holes in tooth enamel. Toothpastes designed for sensitive teeth work by "filling" those tiny holes and protecting the tissues and nerves beneath. If your child has ongoing and persistent sensitivity issues let us know! There may be a bigger problem that we can help address. #DentalFAQ

Teeth do several jobs for us. They are mainly designed to help us speak and chew our food. But we hear about people all the time using their teeth for other jobs like opening bottles or chewing their fingernails. Using your teeth for jobs they weren't designed for can cause damage to them. Use them how they were meant to be used, and care for them by brushing and they'll last you a lifetime! #DentalFAQ

Please let us know if your child is having trouble sleeping or is waking frequently, has jaw pain or soreness, headaches, tooth sensitivity or pain not that's associated with other dental issues. #DentalFAQ
