What have we been up to? Well this week it's been mostly about autobiographies.

Claims, counter claims and snippets in the media all designed to create a stir. And it's worked as both (you'll know which ones) top the bestseller charts.

It seems an obvious formula. Say something controversial about someone or have a strong opinion on something and sell a load of books. Easy money.

So something controversial, hmmmmm....well we guess as nothing is tripping off our tongues then we haven't ruffled enough feathers to create a controversy. This is something that we should remedy!

There's nothing controversial about our #NewMusic finds this week though.

Say hello to Cosmic Alliance, La casa al mare, Mere Moths, The Chance, Talk Symmetry & Torn curtain.

After you've had a listen, go and do something controversial!

Ello,

So this week hails the return to fashion of combat pants and the fishing jacket over the now over used Gilet!

The reason, a mobile phone. The need, to be able to keep it mobile.

World is as mad as a box of frogs! But we wouldn't say no to one! We know we're fickle, but at least we're happy. )

Back to the real business of #NewMusic. This week we have the great and good from amazintunes.com in the form of Red Cabin, The Assist, Boygirlanimalcolour, Danny Dino, New Edge & Shelter Point.

You're most welcome!

This weekend sees the millionth person putting themselves through the challenge of running The Great North Run. Fair play, but it's just not for us.

We'll instead be watching their exploits while sipping a hot mug of tea and eating a bacon sandwich (with brown sauce of course, don't do red!).

This will be soundtracked by The Wychbury Cartel, Leoni, Nilufer Yanya, The Gang OK, Charlie & Fudo Kazuki!

Running, jumping, climbing trees (well probably not climbing trees!) all started again this week in Glasgow.

We're tired just from watching. Especially the triathletes! Those boys need to just rest.

We can't find the word for an event with six disciplines, so our double musical triathlon this week comes in the form of Byron Hare, Gabe And Stan, SKYROADS, Christine Asamoah, Amela & Delay Saints.

No need to run to listen!

How do you feel about biopics? Hollywood, as with any concept that works are gearing up to send a number our way. Which got us thinking. Not all of them will work, as a biopic's success hangs, more than any other genre, on the lead role.

For instance, to our collective mind, Sacha Baron Cohen would have made a brilliant Freddy, as we think he would have been able to capture a little bit of magic that made Freddy, Freddy. We would have queued for that film.

Simply having a passing resemblance to the role doesn't work.

Remember Val Kilmer in The Doors? Don't think we need to say anymore here.

Bands and artists that may be picking an actor to play them in their future biopic include... Ben Owen, TOMIKA, Dominique, Tim Woodbridge, Matt Henry, CJ Reardon

If you're interested, we're thinking Kevin Smith (as Silent Bob) for us. We may not say much, but when we do it is worth hearing.

Our world changed (again!) today. We've just witnessed a piece of paper turn into a robot, transformer style. Go Google it! It's impressive and a little unnerving in equal measure. Well, at least for those of us from The Terminator generation!

Now before we bow down to our self-assembling robotic overlords we need to celebrate the things that make us human. What better than music? It'll be a long time before a robot can compete with the likes of Liskka, DARK FURS, Chord, Los Angeles Police Department, Geena Fontanella & Bluebird Music!

Like George, we want to get cooler. We're at a slight disadvantage in the cool stakes as we're collectively lacking his talent, wealth and good looks.

We do however have a great sense of hearing. This week our skills have uncovered Amy Milner, Our Man In The Field, ANNA NORDEEN (Music), Dead City Souls, O Captain and Rachel Mcalpine
