My 5¢ on #collections : great if you want to use them, but not required at all. I do appreciate following and unfollowing some.

However, telling others how to post? Mute still works or just don't interact on that post so you won't get notified. There is a universal hand symbol for you if you want to tell me how to plus. ;)

I won't tell you how either. Well, this is the closest I'll get. Just a trend I'm seeing lately.

P.S. the person may just find using collections tedious and doesn't work well or is too time consuming. Posting without using collections shouldn't be seen as rude either.

There are several issues with collections I find personally that make them not work for my posts. Main one is how the privacy settings work and audience. I choose audience based on what I am sharing and saying about it, not necessarily the topic. i.e. all political posts I do not want public. Since Google still chooses not to allow us to change privacy settings on a post and did the same on Collections, my only option is to not use Collections and set it post by post. Add to this, on mobile it saves my last privacy setting or collection shared and it takes me forever to undo it to share it to what I want to.

Second is it's just not working well for me and doesn't load the ones I set up on all platforms so I will continue to post as normal. I'm not trying to be rude, so don't take it that way. It should be optional, after all.
