Chris Urmson: How a driverless car sees the road #TED : http://on.ted.com/t0gQH
Statistically, the least reliable part of the car is ... the driver. Chris Urmson heads up Google's driverless car program, one of several efforts to remove humans from the driver's seat. He talks about where his program is right now, and shares fascinating footage that shows how the car sees the road and makes autonomous decisions about what to do next.

Britain after Waterloo, what happened next? #Waterloo200 well Britain as far from at its best in victory...sound familiar?
What happened to Britain after Waterloo? What did the victory mean to the population and why was there a British disillusion for the following 20 years?

Injectable electronics, less 'Channel 4 Humans' Synths and more real science. an this technology hold the keys to unlocking answers to neurodegenerative disease? If so what are the ramifications of that folks for us all?
It's a notion that might be pulled from the pages of science-fiction novel - electronic devices that can be injected directly into the brain, or other body parts, and treat everything from neurodegenerative disorders to paralysis.

An intriguing read on the Economist's Magazine Intelligent Life about Welsh Speaking Patagonians. The impact of Welsh migration. A new one on me. Has anybody come across this before? #familyhistory.

Why do they advertise a phone number if they are not going to answer calls, shame the item concerned is £8 cheaper on Amazon, the reserve and collect takes hours to confirm and still no answer to the phone. I would have paid the extra if I could have confirmed availability for collection. Poor service around the edges but that is how Amazon wins the day. I eventually got through and they tell me they are very very busy. The systems do not work, they could not tell me if they have the book ad the member of staff thinks she is busier than me. Unfortunately the well mannered young lady has forgotten who the customer is. Systems and Service just lost you a sale, when on a £30 item there is an £8 differential this becomes a no brainer...

HGS has been running for over 40 years . It has consistently done original transcription and research work which has been vital to those of us with Hampshire family connections in our history. I am a member and am actively involved in helping to expand its online presence because we want it to still be delivering for family historians all over the world in 40 years time as well. Like all voluntary organisations it takes a lot of work to keep it running and would recommend to all interested to join and participate in whatever way you can.

James Kerby is a great motivator, his coaching is about you and not his ego no matter what your current fitness he can help you get started and progress and his new gym is great, just what you need. I would have no qualms about recommending James to anyone and if like me you are a little older and a bit more fussy about who you train with then Viridian is the right choice! I see he has a great introductory offer as well at the moment!
