This was an excellent article explaining the differences clearly - one of the few. I have been following this issue (haven't all of us) but oftentimes the discussion has not been this clear. Thanks for sharing +Amanda Moore

CANVA.com Worth a look? +Guy Kawasaki  thinks so having just been appointed as its Chief Evangelist. Quoted on Techcrunch as saying "Macintosh democratized computers; Google democratized information; and eBay democratized commerce. In the same way, Canva democratizes design,” Kawasaki said in a statement. “You don’t get many chances to democratize an industry, so I seized the opportunity to work for Canva.” interestingly he doesn't mention Wordpress but maybe that is too close and the target is graphic design as opposed to web design and development. I have had a dabble but will look again myself more closely ow. So the Kawasaki impact is already working on me. You can see the product ad signup with FB Id at the moment at Canva.com

It will be interesting to see how well the platform works and what level of designs can be achieved without 'creative skills and knowledge' but everbody was saying that about Aldus Pagemaker at the start and i thought that was the start of it all. Showing my age.

Look forward to seeing more from a great pedigree in the team there and nice guys based down under! Come-on you Aussies!

Why do they advertise a phone number if they are not going to answer calls, shame the item concerned is £8 cheaper on Amazon, the reserve and collect takes hours to confirm and still no answer to the phone. I would have paid the extra if I could have confirmed availability for collection. Poor service around the edges but that is how Amazon wins the day. I eventually got through and they tell me they are very very busy. The systems do not work, they could not tell me if they have the book ad the member of staff thinks she is busier than me. Unfortunately the well mannered young lady has forgotten who the customer is. Systems and Service just lost you a sale, when on a £30 item there is an £8 differential this becomes a no brainer...

HGS has been running for over 40 years . It has consistently done original transcription and research work which has been vital to those of us with Hampshire family connections in our history. I am a member and am actively involved in helping to expand its online presence because we want it to still be delivering for family historians all over the world in 40 years time as well. Like all voluntary organisations it takes a lot of work to keep it running and would recommend to all interested to join and participate in whatever way you can.

James Kerby is a great motivator, his coaching is about you and not his ego no matter what your current fitness he can help you get started and progress and his new gym is great, just what you need. I would have no qualms about recommending James to anyone and if like me you are a little older and a bit more fussy about who you train with then Viridian is the right choice! I see he has a great introductory offer as well at the moment!
