Although speed is critical to customer experience, it's communication, or the lack of it, that contributes to bad customer service and drive customers away.

If you dont want to use WordPress and help shape the future of the web with apis and all never mind drag and drop then, have a good weekend anyway! Play the video what a great package. It makes you smile and really want to have a play with the product. More importantly it solves a number of really useful issues and creates opportuity. #WordPress  love it when its like this

Want to get into mashingup some api's on WordPress? Pippins Plugins Code Monkey Membership is real handy. Learn from the pros!. Inexpensive , excellent content, see free samples on his site and of course he is the author of the essential plugin, Easy Digital Downloads, woo is great for product but EDD market place with extensions is the best route for downloads and integrates with Restrict Continent Pro.

It is a great solution. Will be enjoying this to drive forward a few pet projects shortly.

This is not an affiliate link but it is such a great range of solutions, it should be.

There are some expensive all in one packages around and they are great but if you have the team and help WordPress has infinite possibilities as API extension of functions and integration with rich apps and web services. Time to get coding on your next project?
WordPress includes an exceptionally useful API called the HTTP API that can be used for sending data to and retrieving data from remote APIs. If you are building a plugin that talks to Stripe, MailChimp, or just about any other service that provides an API, you can use the WP HTTP API to make your job significantly easier. For this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to use wp_remote_get(), one of the several functions included in the HTTP API, t...

Lego’s Millennium Falcons are some of the toymaker’s largest and most impressive sets, but to keep the price tags reasonable there are some comprises made when it comes to size, scale, and detailing. As the Lego fans at Titans Creations discovered, to build a Millennium Falcon that’s actually perfectly sized for minifigs you’ll need some 10,000 bricks at your disposal.

Katherine Swynford is known as the mistress of John of Gaunter, later his wife but here +Helen Banham reveals a little more about the nature of that relationship, her origins and significance not only as step-mother to Henry IV but as he link via which Henry VII would claim the throne. If you would like to browse you can read it here on Intriguing History. Links to Chaucer as well, how intriguing.

Well I am certain Helen has researched it John, but if you have a better source perhaps you would kindly share it. It is a murky period in History but I have some sources that confirm some of these facts, as best they are known. But look forward to seeing your sources as and when you have time to share. It is all a voyage of discovery, that much is for sure.

Why does visual marketing work? Seems obvious? A constant fight for attention but is there any science behind it? A post that sparks some thoughts and why designer content really matters?

Design School on Canva is obviously a vested interest but interesting and makes me wonder why on the web so many websites seem to all be looking the same?

Fashion fads , flat design parallax images, big pictures minimal content to crass crashes of hectic hard-sell.

Canva is a great tool for creative quick graphics but will it lead to everything looking the same? Can the tool create good information graphics that turn our heads or will it just lead to more of the polarised design trends we see on websites?

Disposable graphics, masses are demanded to keep social campaigns and content fuelled and there is a real need for speed of production for this content but ...will these tools end up creating a stream of images that all look the same and are poorly designed by us amateurs or will the craft of designers, not developers or us marketers save us from ourselves?

What we do know is the art of graphic design is far from dead so step up designers we need you. If we want to stand out from the crowd, differentiate our offers and get our points across - its no good every website, infographic, social graphic looking the same apart from its logo.

Of course its got to be functional and quick, but would you get an amateur to perform the job of a surgeon? I don't. Thinks so so why does everybody seem to think they are graphic designers?

1 headline, same words designed by us or a skilled designer I can see the difference and I reckon you can too! We need more than tools, we need great coders, we need great designers but they are rarely the same person and most of us are not naturally graphic designers. So the issues with a great tool like Canva are no different to the issues we had with slide decks and Powerpoint.

The science shows we need the visual content but it only works if it helps our message stand out in a crowded market place and reach our audience and grab the next click. Canva could boost creativity but the danger is like websites we will be fooled into believing that we all need to conform and look like clones of one another. We need design skills and education, and designers watch out the ground is shifting,. To compete a designer must be creative, technical and now an educator of their own team.

Have you got the eye of a talented designer helping you get the best out of Canva and the Web?

Why do they advertise a phone number if they are not going to answer calls, shame the item concerned is £8 cheaper on Amazon, the reserve and collect takes hours to confirm and still no answer to the phone. I would have paid the extra if I could have confirmed availability for collection. Poor service around the edges but that is how Amazon wins the day. I eventually got through and they tell me they are very very busy. The systems do not work, they could not tell me if they have the book ad the member of staff thinks she is busier than me. Unfortunately the well mannered young lady has forgotten who the customer is. Systems and Service just lost you a sale, when on a £30 item there is an £8 differential this becomes a no brainer...

HGS has been running for over 40 years . It has consistently done original transcription and research work which has been vital to those of us with Hampshire family connections in our history. I am a member and am actively involved in helping to expand its online presence because we want it to still be delivering for family historians all over the world in 40 years time as well. Like all voluntary organisations it takes a lot of work to keep it running and would recommend to all interested to join and participate in whatever way you can.

James Kerby is a great motivator, his coaching is about you and not his ego no matter what your current fitness he can help you get started and progress and his new gym is great, just what you need. I would have no qualms about recommending James to anyone and if like me you are a little older and a bit more fussy about who you train with then Viridian is the right choice! I see he has a great introductory offer as well at the moment!
