A wonderful and welcome break to my day.

Go full screen on this one, put on your headphones, kick back and enjoy mesmerizing views of our sun.

Over a six-hour period on April 21, 2015, our Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) observed a wing-like prominence eruption from our sun. SDO views the sun in various wavelengths of the extreme ultraviolet, including 171 (shown in gold) and 304 (shown in orange) angstroms.

"Clinical trials are now needed to establish whether eating foods such as oily fish or taking vitamin D supplements can delay or even prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. We need to be cautious at this early stage and our latest results do not demonstrate that low vitamin D levels cause dementia."

In the 1950s, a group of scientists spoke out against the dangers of nuclear weapons. Should cryptographers take on the surveillance state?

Unanimously ruled!
In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the vast amount of data contained on modern cellphones must be protected from routine inspection.

Introduction
I live for: adventure, bikes, outdoor activities of all kinds, coffee, chocolate, wines, great food, good company and science.

Every chance I get, I travel. It'll be a long time before I settle down, but when I do I'll have two different kinds of education: bachelor of sciences, eventually MD, and the kind of education you can only absorb while travelling around the world.

Staying in a box your whole life is a waste. Even being a tourist is a waste. GO. Become a part of a different culture. Don't be afraid to view your nation from a different angle. Criticize.

Also, life is too short to spend it with people you don't enjoy.

This is my second home now. I'm slowly getting back into training and this place is so supportive and friendly! Everyone feels like family. All of the instructors have been wonderful about working around my shoulder issues. I no longer have my left teres 50 minor (8 year old complete tear that was never reattached) and other portions of my rotator cuff were partially torn at different times during different sports. After having the last 5 years off of any serious training, I've had to ease back into everything and include a LOT of PT. They should definitely replace their Cliff Bars with Quest bars though!
