This year feels like it flew by, but when I think back to January, it feels like a lifetime ago. It was just that kind of year. This year in review has become one of my absolute favourite things to do as I look back on the many things God accomplished and t...

Compassion Birthday Love
October is birthday month for my two Compassion kiddos. By total coincidence, these two kids' birthdays are 6 days apart. This is the 4th time I'm celebrating Happyness' birthday as her sponsor and I really can't believe it. Yeah, I had a little nostalgic C...

Dear Aylan (Part 2) -
You, little angel - I think you changed the world. The last time I wrote to you we were all still reeling. We were just learning your name and your story and how we could have saved you and we were all shocked numb . And I told you that all I could pray is ...

Dear Sweet Little Girl,*
This all started with a little boy just a little younger than you and your brother . This entire day, it happened because of Aylan 's tiny, lifeless body washed up on the shore of the Mediterranean. And quite honestly, sweet girl? I was discouraged for once...

Christmas Reflections
My draft box is full of the real good-intention to post something. Promise. The world has been a hurting place this fall. Even a bit more than normal, it seems. There was terror and intolerance and yet still, the First World I call home went about life and ...

Story
Introduction
Hey. I'm just a girl, trying to figure out how to live like Jesus. It's a little tough sometimes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have a huge passion for the oppressed, and I believe that serving & loving the least of these goes hand in hand with serving and loving Jesus. I'm out to change the world, by spreading His grace, hope and love all over the world. I'm a work in progress and it might get messy sometimes, but that's life. I believe broken is beautiful because His power is made perfect in my weakness. I love people and I love the people in my life (they're gifts; every single one of them). I believe in never giving up, 'cause hope is always, always alive. If you'd like to journey together, I would so love that. Let's figure this whole live-like-Jesus thing out together, because I think He'd like that. :)
