MaAnna I'm really sorry to hear that you've taken so much heat. I admire you greatly and have turned to you for advice more than once. I refer you as well.  I'm happy to read that you're finding your path again, doing the things you enjoy. Life is too short to do otherwise. Things change so fast in tech. Today's darling can be tomorrow's albatross.  I'm often amazed at what you know and understand.

I'm also appalled time and again at the bitterness and backstabbing that flies across the web. You are such a kind, honest human being. I'm saddened that you had to go through this.

Great post!

Teachers, this is a great book for your 10 to 14 year old students. Self esteem, body image, loss, finding your voice, nutrition, yoga...it's all here.

Anecdotally speaking, some of my most popular posts show the date, but have turned out to be evergreen content, a term I wasn't familiar with before following you. It's hard to know if they would have more hits or less based on the date. Written in 2012, another blogger recently shared the post, doubling my traffic that day, and last week it was picked up by another site, and quadrupled the views. It was fun to see it all unfold.

First off, I'm really sorry to hear that anyone, anywhere, would blame you or hold you responsible for the behavior of a hosting site. It's part of the bigger culture, in my opinion anyway, of blaming someone else whenever something goes wrong. I no longer recommend vendors for my business either. I simply suggest. It's a slippery slope, isn't it.

I know that I don't give my site the full attention it deserves, nor is my business big enough to ever contemplate some of the other, non-self hosting you refer to above.

I'm so glad you are here, MaAnn and hope your business continues to thrive and grow.

While the east coast and mid-west are ready to be rid of winter temps, I'm mourning the winter that never was. #californiadrought

Sunday morning I spoke with my long-time friend, Nandini via Skype. She currently lives in Chennai, India. It’s wonderful to connect. I shared this passage on Facebook: Nandini and I worked together at a start-up called Pretzel Logic Software in 1995. We…
